Please remove the link. No links on first post and no religious links at all. I love to discuss theology but it is a violation of terms of service. Some latitude is allowed for asking for prayer and such, but that's it. Need change your screen name as well.
Blessings,

Coast Guard sends students to Ft. Meade now; but back when I was interested the school was at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indiana.
Yep. That's where I was. Great place.

I nearly became a photo-journalist in my military days. that's what I wanted; but the wait to get into the school was estimated to be over three years and patience isn't my strong suit.
in hindsight, wish I would have went.
Computers hadn't happened yet, but I already knew somehow about hacking the system. I told my local recruiter I wasn't going except to AFRTS. I was draft fodder, but he didn't know that so he got me in for a recording and I signed within two weeks on delayed entry. Wound up with combat pay and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. Not a bad war all things considered. As I said at the time, a shitty little war but the only one they gave us.

Thanks to Micromara, here's how to hook up your new K'horns for stereo or with a center channel. \

Wish this did not have to go down this way Dave, but I understand. It's not the same place we joined almost what, 19 years ago
Agreed. But if we can get Klipsch back into Klipsch hands (like and employee and Forum buyout) we can get back to what PWK build and intended...and start making EVERYTHING in Hope like he did.

Please do NOT offer to invest here. I actually obey the TOS even though I don't like most of it. PM me if you want a piece of this and don't expect it to pay off immediately. It will not take long, but we will not IPO until we are ready.

Yes....^^^ and the vast knowledge that is available here...I think it pertains to audio, not just Klipsch 🙂
Almost nothing here pertains to "just Klipsch." If you get the vast knowledge here you get Klipsch. If it ain't Klipsch, it's krap.

And a good tidbit it was! I looked it up as well as I thought it was an autocorrect for "parting shot" but the thumbnail explanation on the internets didn't use the same definition/story you posted just upstream. ^^^
Well, TBHWY I learned about it in my studies of Roman history. The Parthians used the tactic to great effect in their victory over the Roman general Crassus in the Battle of Carrhae.

Usually misquoted as "parting shot." The Parthian shot is a light horse military tactic made famous by the Parthians, an ancient Iranian people. While being in real or feigned retreat, their horse archers would turn their bodies back in full gallop to shoot at the pursuing enemy. The maneuver required superb equestrian skills, since the rider's hands were occupied by his composite bow. As the stirrup had not been invented at the time of the Parthians, the rider relied solely on pressure from his legs to guide his horse.
Not even any snark... Wouldn't expect an IT guy to know this little tidbit.

BTW, the treatment of newbies that irritates me is NOT the ribbing, even snarky and cranky ribbing. It's the arrogance and failing to serve them. There is no such thing as a stupid question about audio (other than who makes the best speakers) and all should be addressed...even with snark! The question I suggested was a common one concerning hooking up K'horns for use as a two channel system is a good example. It is NOT easy for a newbie. If someone will address it I will pin it and you will be famous.

Use the Heritage BS link I provided. I checked and, in fact, the page is private and hidden so Baron and Randy are correct. You have to use the link to get there. If you have an issue just send a friend request to me at Mallette on FB and I'll get you in. Looking forward to free speech among friends again!

Making everyone an admin means you can shut off those you wish to ignore...or dismember them as you see fit.

No. Always Heritage BS. I may have kept it hidden to keep out the Bose people.

Mallette, thanks for all you have done for so many! I was a newbie here once, and you tought me and many much. Always kind, rarely dismissive. Knowledge from those you trust or makes sense is a gift you gave. Good luck with your path! You will be missed! Thanks again!
Not really going anywhere, just not posting much anymore. Way too boring and the Forum has left the spirit of PWK behind. Every post I ever made can be credited to PWK. Incredible man and more fun than you can imagine. Wish he'd have run for President...but he'd NEVER have done that.

Knowing FB, that may be an issue though I put no constraints on the page. Friend me if you want in. Not sure who is left on the Forum that was in there. Zen, Gilbert, can't recall others but it was fun for a while.

KLIPSCH KLF30
in Technical/Restorations

Raphael, I've taken the liberty to translate your post. I suggest you post in English as only a few here speak French. I hope the translation is close.
Hello,
first of all, thank you for accepting me in your group.
as you can guess I am located in France.
I am 46 years old,
works with composite,
I am passionate about the brand "copper & black"
I own a pair of
Klipsch RF82 MK1
Klipsch RF7 MK1
And recently a pair of Klipsch KLF30.
these are difficult for me to adjust (compared to my RF7 ...)
My system is powered by a Yamaha Mx a5000 preamplifier and its rxa 5000 power unit, DAC / Yaamha WXC50 stramer (deezer).
So, I try to improve my klf30 as well as possible, I saw a lot of information and I want to start by changing the crossover system. My goal to have tight and precise Graves ...
I will be honored and happy to read all your suggestions for improving the KLF30 ...
Decoupling tip?
Tube amplifier?
Strengthen the body (even if I don't feel any abnormal vibrations) but my wall vibrates a lot ...
Thank you for your feedback and advice
Raphael
