Good morning America , very hot in Germany , up to 95 F are announced . The pool is ready to go if I can't stand it anymore. In the house it is a pleasant 70 F. Am since 5.30 o'clock on the legs, have already drunk 3 Latte Machiatto and am a bit agitated, too little sleep. We went to my daughter's high school graduation party yesterday . A great organized event , wonderful buffet, good drink selection and very very many people. I actually just realized yesterday that my daughter is an adult woman . My wife and I could not hold back the tears at the official handover of the graduation certificates. She makes us happy! Tomorrow she goes on vacation with a few friends to Lake Constance in southern Germany.

@JohnJ Your first DIY Cables are better than my first DIY Cables 😂 many many years ago, but I didn´t had a DIY Audio Cable thread that supported the way to do it right . It was along way to bring them onto the level of pureness an accurcy like they are today, to find the right materials and how to combine them . A cable is perfect when it has absolutely no effect on the sound of the electronics. After all, you want to hear the components and no discoloration that can be generated by cables. What I liked very much was your ability to describe the audible differences . Well done 👍

No , it doesn´t go into the deepest groove of a record. Sorry John I meant a round needle grind like the Denon 103 MC which has a round needle grind as well , that´s why it was used for broadcastings at Radiostations for many decades.

I clean the styli with an Audio Technica cleaning fluid, that´s it . From all Cartridges I own only two have a needle that run more than 150 hours , all others are brand new . I changed them within the last few month step by step. Some of them weren´t easy to get. Since I own a Nitty Gritty RCM there isn´t any need for a puffin to prevent crackles and pops at all. If I use a bonded round needle , like the one from the ADC QLM MK III , than you don´t hear any crackles and pops even on the most scratched and dirtiest record at all . I could write an endless story about this topic , so I can understand @michaelwjones very well . But all these efforts are worth , there is no physical medium that´s so fascinating like spinning vinyl .

I think due to the very high prices for fuels of all kinds, we have all changed our relationship to driving in the last few months

you need a cripming pliers for the ferulles , than they´ll fit into the banana housing , you have to make sure that the copper can´t oxidze , otherwise it sound nice from the beginning and will deteriorate sonically because the cable ends will oxidize, that happend obviously to @babadono with his DIY Cables
