  1. that sounds good, what about cleaning the cones with "baby wipes" and maybe a diluted solution of dawn?
  2. also, need to clean the woofer cones of dust, etc, may be mold, not sure. any ideas on how to safely clean the woofer cones?
  3. Thr original Klipsch decals were missing, so I ordered a set of the Jubilee pie logo(070249), they look nice.
  4. Need to replace the grill cloth on my KLF-20s. Does anyone know of a good source for some cloth that looks close to the original? I have already pulled the old cloth off, but there is a sticky residue left on the frame. Any ideas on cleaning this off, or leave it? thanks for any info.
  5. Thanks for the video. They sound good and i like the bass, no subwoofers needed.
  6. Wanted to buy some larger Klipsch tower speakers for my stereo set up. Have a 12x18 room. I have been researching the KLF-20 and they would seem to be what i wanted. I am looking for a little better bass response. I have some Forte 2 now in a smaller room, they sound good there. Looking at the prices now on the KLF speakers are probably out of my budget, max at $1000. I see most of the KLF-20s for $1500 around here. Are the KLF-20s worth it? What other lines of the Klipsch tower models would work for me? The KG5.5 and the Epic line speakers look good and can get a pair of KG5.5 for around $600. The KG5.5 seem to be rated highly. The KLF-10 is also a possibility or keep saving up for the 20s. I listen to mainly classic rock. Thanks for any helpful suggestions.
  7. Thanks for your help. I found some on Ebay. Wish everyone a Happy New Year!
  8. Recently bought a pair of the Klipsch R-26F. One speaker missing the original metal terminal jumpers. I don't really want to use spades and wiring. Anyone have one set of these jumpers I can buy? thanks
  9. I have a Jolida JD9 phono preamp that uses the 12AX7. What would you recommend? How much for a pair of the Telefunken?
  10. Just search for Costco Klipsch Reference Dolby Atmos Surround System The Klipsch R-12SW sub is on sale for $169
  11. I went and looked at the used set last Saturday, had to pass, there were too many condition issues for me. Looking at a new set at Costco, the Klipsch Reference Dolby Atmos Surround System for 899.99. My receiver does not support Dolby Atmos, only Dolby Digital and DTS Master Audio. But can upgrade later if need be. Going to get the Klipsch sub that is on sale too. Comments welcome, Thanks
  12. I am wanting to upgrade my home theatre speaker set. My HT receiver is a Onkyo HT-RC360(100wpc) There seem to be a lot of Klipch home theatre model speakers out there. But I see a set here locally that looks like it would be a good fit and the price is right and was hoping to get your opinions about each piece. The floor standing front speaker set is the R-28F, the center is a RC-62 II, and also with a subwoofer, the R-112SW. I am going to continue using for the rear surrounds some old Boston speakers(small) for now. They look to be in great condition from the pics. It is about a 2 hour drive from my house to see them. Anyone have any experience or opinions with the Klipsch set up. Thanks.
  13. I replaced the stock binding posts on my Forte II a few years ago at the same time I was doing a recap on the crossovers. Used the Mini Gold Plated Insulated 5-Way Binding Post Banana Jack Set from Parts Express. There is very limited clearance on the rear of the plate. These worked out very well for me.
  14. Thanks, I think I am back with a new account. Anyway, love the sound of Klipsch speakers. My first real set of speakers were the Heresy in 1976. I now have the Forte II. A few years ago I did some of the Bob Crites upgrades to them. New caps on the crossovers and replaced the tweeters. Thinking about a few more easy mods to do, I will probably have some questions soon. Glad to be back.
