  1. Got an blanket email today I couldn't believe... 😭 "Hello - Keith here - I wanted to let you know about some unexpected news we received this week. Linn has decided to part ways with Overture Audio after 34 years, and they have given us until the 3rd of April to wrap up all business with them. We'll be happy to talk to you about it on the phone or in person, but for now we have a lot of Linn customers to contact in a short amount of time, so we're sending out this brief email to everyone." There's more but that's the jist of it. 34 years of business??? Guess my turntable resale value just went up or did it go down? They must be going to jack the prices to another level. Wanting those big money boys. Could be feeling the pinch from the other tables too. Guess I'd better get a spare power switch a table mat and a belt or two. Might splurge on a motor too. Who knows but it sounds like things are gonna go out of site down the road like everything else today. Just sad. I'm sure my tech will ride it out cause he's the best imo. @Mossy bottom
  2. Ventured into the heart of Duckburg to pick up a few things and made a command decision. Wind? It's insane. Rain? Kinda maybe. Temp? Dropping. Thought of you though @JohnJ. The girls from Little Athens told me to tell ya hi and they missed you. They missed you? Seriously? 😂 Coupled with the Sauce Master's hot sauce? Honolululululy Pepper @oldtimer? BOOM! Of course I had to. John was like a kid in a candy shop and has become a repeat offender I think. Really was sad when they were asking how he was doing. All I got was a check and a bag. Just sad! 😂

Road trip @billybob! lol
  4. Nice ride right there. Saw in the obits last week an old friend passed and he had the rides. Couple old Caddy convertibles, a mint old Ford w/the retractable roof all stashed in his garage. He RARELY drove any of them but he took great care of them all. Just local parades and whenever he wanted to take a cruise with his wife. She passed a couple years ago and now him. His daughter is keeping them all. Screwed again. lol Have to dig some pics out sometime. High winds today from 4-9 PM. Gusts to 65 mph. It's marchin thru. 30 Saturday, 17 Sunday and 19 on Monday. Windy for sure with thunder storms and some snow around here it looks like. Guess I can thank @grasshopper for this one. He said it was heading this way. Power company must be steppin their game up since I woke up to a text msg about how they're here for us. 😂 That lasted a nano second. 😂 Gonna be a good day in Duckburg. My ear itched so I stuck a Q-Tip in but forgot my hearing aids were in. Carry on!
  5. @amped Pretty sure I've got it too. Know I've got the lp along with the rest of their stuff. Have the old back pack album and recently picked up a new one when it dropped. That's a great lp and worth the grab if you see one. The show should be a fun time for everyone who ever liked them. 50 years is a LONG time! lol

    The Other Discs

This showed up today in CD. Just fired it up and I honestly think it will kick butt! 2 minutes in and he's off on a run. He's just so darn good... Guess I'd better plug in the Oppo! lol
  7. Bama isn't wasting any time. They don't want to lose those 4-5 star recruits that many other teams are salivating for and working on already. I DO know OSU has talked to a couple of them that decided Bama over OSU. Then factor in a new coach? Could kill that recruiting class of Saban's. Dabo's jet landed this afternoon in Tuscaloosa, AL. Yup, haters gonna hate! 😂 BREATHE, out with the old air and in with the new air? Gonna be interesting to say the least. He must have been the first one on the list.
  8. @JohnJ I hate to be the one to break it to you but Dabo's jet landed in Tuscaloosa this afternoon. Yup, no foolin! I'll agree w/ya @dtel just enough lighter boards to show the dirt. 😂 Duckburg is warmin up a bit tomorrow then the wind begins and things are heading DOWN after that. Talked to a retired buddy this evening who lives up on Lake Erie and now runs a charter service. He said they're calling for 20' waves up there, which will be nuts. Minus 2 on Tuesday night here "they" say. Think I'll fire up the blower tomorrow morning just to see if it'll run. Ya never know.
  9. Should be a wild tour for sure. Mark will kick some butt but stay well within his bounds to keep the GFR sound alive. They'll prolly throw some Seger in for kicks knowing him. Either way the ticket price for a nice evening will be sane.
  10. God has spoken. "With the new NIL and pay for play and Michigan cheating it's way to a title. No sort of rules for the game we love. College football ain't what it used to be. Time to hang the cleats up." Saban out. Roll Tide" Now where did I put my coffee?
  11. God has spoken. "With the new NIL and pay for play and Michigan cheating it's way to a title. No sort of rules for the game we love. College football ain't what it used to be. Time to hang the cleats up. Saban out. Roll Tide
  12. He's ALL of that and more. lol
  13. Sooooo Nicky boy is retiring from Alabama? Word on the street anyway. Things that make ya go hmmmm? Who's gonna do the AFLAC commercials w/the duck? Saying he can't deal with the transfer portal or doesn't want to. Who knows? Saban's retirement wasn't a big surprise to me. He paid 18M for an ocean side estate in southern Florida in August. The only people that were truly shocked were the 21 recruits he just signed as the #2 recruiting class.
  14. Interesting w/the Scotch bottle. When I drink, which is rarely, that's my go to. Neat! I'd buy it but not for that kind of cash. Would be a fun one to look at.
  15. @Full Range ya forgot to mention the human metronome up there w/ur gaggle. Raymond Cooper. Zero better than him on the planet! Pulled this one up with him and Steve Ferrone. Steve's first lp was with the AWB when they did their "Cut The Cake" lp back in the day. Steve finally settled in on drums w/Tom Petty for 30 years. He just sat back and let Raymond take over! Classic perccussion and one h3lluva nice guy but ALL business 24/7 365. It's a great watch! He's played w/Elton since the beginning and ALWAYS takes a piece of the pie when it's offerred. How's this all tie in to "Layla?" You ain't seen nuttin unless you see Raymond with EC and the boys doin it. 198,944 views Sep 20, 2008 Clapton, Beck, Jimmy Page, Andy Fairweather, Wyman, Winwood , Kenny Jones and Charlie Watts on drums, and Ray Cooper. Raymond turns THEIR heads on this one! lol All I can tell you is if he's out I'm there! One truly amazing guy! He's sneaky though but WILL take it to a new level when he walks out there. The best ever imo! BTW, don't ever walk up to him to shake hands cause he just looks at you funny and ignores it. Ya have to think about it for a while they you realize why he didn't. 😂 😂 😂
  16. It is what it is. Just keep taking notes cause it's gonna be happening EVERYwhere! The times they are a changin. A 12-team playoff next year? Think about that one insted of a balloon popping. Almost like a shotgun wedding. We'll all be payin to watch the gladiators in a couple years.
  17. A high of 48 in Duckburg Friday? That is all.
  18. I sat here eating pretzels while I watched a gaggle of blind officials try to prevent a mugging.
  19. Prolly the only way you'll get 'em. Bosses are such a tease. Send him the receipt? lol
  20. Hasn't been too bad here the past few days. Sure it's cold but minimal snow so far.. Today it's rain all day and 59 outside. Tomorrow it's 30-50mph wind gusts. The thing I'm trying to figure out is WHY quite a few schools in the area had a 2-hour delay or used a snow day to cancel school. It's done nothing but rain. Who knows what's gonna shake out. I'm holed up and could care less. All quiet in the hood today. Guess some farmer found a female body about 200 yards from the highway bobbin for apples in a drainage ditch yesterday near here. How she got from TN up here remains to be seen. Anyone missing down your way guys?

    What I Got Today!

Any day of the week. The down side of that though is it's just another one sitting around.
  22. Interesting note. Mark Chatfield is going back on the road ASAP since Bob Seger retired. Mark is replacing Bruce Kulick from Grand Funk Railroad. 23 amazing years touring with a group that originated in Flint, MI. and has withstood the test of time for more than 50 years. Mark and Bruce are long time friends and GFR is doing a "Loco-Motion" tour this year. 23 years for Bruce and Mark's 40 year stint w/Bob? It's a zero brainer if ya think about it. Should be a great tour. The first of 40 tour stops will take place on Friday, January 12th at Ledyard, Connecticut’s Foxwood’s Casino. I remember Seger hitting Cbus at the old Sugar Shack and Mark was telling me one day he was gonna play lead for him. I told him to tell Bob that and he did. Seger told him if he could bring it to let him know. Funny cause he did it. 40 years with him and when Bob retired Mark went back and has been packing the house w/his old band "The Godz" here in Ohio. Then the phone rang. lol Trust me he can git it and will be a great add to GFR! Most sites are casino gigs but what better place to kick back and enjoy an evening? Check me out! Laced w/a few Seger hits ya better buckle up. Great ticket prices and a good time for sure!
  23. Sitting here watching the Natty with the two B1G teams playing. Since Washington joined the B1G on 1 January this year and blue is already a member? Oh yea, it's the 2023 Natty. lolol Then the next thing that makes me wonder will blue have to vacate the win after the NCAA rules on the spygate scandal? If Harb's leaves it'll prolly get swept under the carpet imo. Whatever shakes out right now it's hat's off to blue on the Natty!
  24. 100% rain tomorrow w/30mph winds but we'll see. Get back to us @Invidiosulus. As if. Bosses can't listen otherwise they're not a boss but maybe. Still werkin night shift here for some insane reason. Day 4 and it's crazy.
