  1. I was prolly holdin down a tour box or something but he was marching around and people were going totally nuts marchin with him. The place was indoors though for sure. Maybe not there but somewhere.
  2. It was a 3 maybe 4 story yellow brick high school on a corner. It was a little ways from his house I think. He had me so lost I just kicked back. The street in front of the school was named after some rocker. I wasn't taking too many notes just enjoying the ride. Thinking it was after my Danley back massage at @ClaudeJ1's place. Felt like I was the sound test crash dummy again after that. Been there done that and got busted by my dad for messing up the TV somehow. roflmao Reception here in Duckburg STILL sucks!
  3. @Marvel I saw Paul Butterfield right after or just before his "Golden Butter" release somewhere in Chicago. It was an insanely great show cause they were marching all over the place singing. I've seen BB so many times I can't even remember but only Butterfield that one time and BB may have been there that night. It was a rough nite i do know that! hahahahaha NOW ya got me wonderin. That's crazy! Maybe we were related in our first life! 😂 Ouch, Hooker is doin that one burbon, one scotch & one beer on that lp rn... Killin it! lol
  4. Gotta watch him @Invidiosulus he's sneaky like that! 😂
  5. @Marvel wait is that place an indoor venue?
  6. @Marvel think I"ve heard of that place before but haven't been there so dunno. How'd you know to come in here anyway??? I've been looking for that new Molly Tuttle lp I just got a couple weeks ago. It's here somewhere. GET OUTTA MY HEAD! 😂 😂 😂
  7. Runnin outta time and what to play. That's gonna be a tough one to beat. It really is THAT good! One of those darn German pressings from the land of @MicroMara. Ok, that's it, 7 foot-long piles standin on the floor and I can't find a couple new ones that I just got.. May as well stay in the blues so unzipped this one. Fremer's new Tracking Angle site sums it up pretty welll since wiki didn't have much: https://trackingangle.com/music/john-lee-hooker-alone-at-hunter-college-1976 I saw one comment about noise but I've heard nothing here on my copy. Yup, all alone and pretty darn good!
  8. Sharin the love in mah hood. This has GOT to be raisin eyebrows! What a jam! King was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 and is one of the most influential blues musicians of all time, earning the nickname "The King of the Blues", and is considered one of the "Three Kings of the Blues Guitar" (along with Albert King and Freddie King, none of whom are related). King performed tirelessly throughout his musical career, appearing on average at more than 200 concerts per year into his 70s.[10] In 1956 alone, he appeared at 342 shows.[11] He just shines on this album. ALL him throwin it ALL at ya. IF ya can't catch a groove to this one you're prolly dead. My LS are smilin as big as I am right now after flippin to side 2. WOW! ZERO trash on this lp. It's ALL HIM killin EVERY note! A double thumbs up if you're a purist! Crank it up and let it ALL go! To make it even better Cbus sports just reported that Michigan Coach Jim Harbaugh is slapped with a 4 game suspension for something! No volume so clueless. 😂 I'll just tell the cops if they show up I was just celebrating! 😎 GO BUCKS!
  9. Hooker & Carlos? Time for me to take a ride after all that domesticated stuff!
  10. Blah, sweeper's out and I'm on a misson. Gonna unzip a few but now while I sweep. Kinda defeats the purpose. Gonna git 'r done and take a well deserved break. Did I ever tell ya about just how much crap hides on a persian rug? Sheesh! 😂💪😂

    Diet

@RealMarkDeneen sounds interesting my liver could use a rest! Nah, diabetic and fightin it every day. Talk to me and don't be afraid to skool. My sister does nothing but keto and she'd preach but Imma not listening to her. lol Gimme, gimme oh wise one! lol
  12. Yup, Neil took a couple of us past the school one day when we were up there about 5-6 years ago. Seegar Ave now maybe? Sumpin though. Bob would slide down here and play Cbus a lot and that's where I met him. Mark always told me that someday he was gonna play w/him and by golly he did. We STILL laff about that when we bump. He ALWAYS reminds me of that too. lolol They'll never quit.
  13. @Full Range I had to. Crazy. Knew I knew the song but those guys nailed it in a different way. Not a word outta you either @MicroMara cause we ALL knew she put you to sleep every night back in the day. Almost like Diana Krall does. NOT! 😂
  14. @babadono you're not related to Claude & Neil are ya? Asking for a friend. Thought you were from up that way just wasn't positive til now. Ohio did do ya a solid though when Mark Chatfield joined Bob and the boys. Got a heads up a couple weeks ago and he's gonna start workin with his old band "The Godz" here in the Columbus area doin some shows. THAT should prove to be interesting in a good way. All these old guys steppin back but they're still gonna play birthday parties & smaller gigs if there is enough money involved. lol Now back to our regular programming Tony Bennett. Sorry @ClaudeJ1!
  15. Tony Bennett as well as so many others had some serious class. They'll never die. Simple!
  16. I knew everyone in every Motown group on the planet. There weren't 50 white kids in the place on any given Sunday. Every ONE of us was there for the same reason whether we were black or white. To get a groove on and that we did. CKLW cranked on the way home sangin along. Many times solo and once in a while someone would disappear and go with me. To this day I can't understand why NO one would go to Woodstock with me. Sheesh! We'd have made it home someday. 😂
  17. That metronome clicking while I was doing scales? Seriously? Done, not going back, no way. About that time "Little' Stevie Wonder was fully engrained in my soul. Now if that old bat had ANY soul at all she'd have had me beggin for more. When I got my license I just "disappeared" with one of the cars and somehow wound up @ the Roostertail in Detroit 2.5 hours later. I had it ALL werkin then! Then it was 2.5 hours back home. THAT happened every Sunday just about. Stevie read the white boy's face one time and he'd always ask ppl if I was there. Yea, he knew the story cause I told him. He was rollin and couldn't believe it. That's my story and I'm stickin to it. I became a wicked admirerer of those who were bada$$. Kicked myself many times over the years. Perhaps it was a strange way to tell her she was right and I was wrong. Maybe that's why she had a fit when I showed up with it. An admittance of guilt from me and I offered up a keyboard to show her she was right I'll never know. But she loved that thing and would play it daily for me right up until a few weeks before she passed. I'd always smile and listen to every lil random note intently. She didn't like any of the enhancements just those pure simple notes. Broke my heart when she stopped cause that told me the end was near. Life. Simple. Yet I think of her almost daily.
  18. Heard something on the news about that last week but didn't know what it was called so didn't post it.
  19. @Marvel thanks for that I'd completely forgotten about the video. Who didn't love that man? One of the best studio men in the business and when he stepped out on his own he took the world by storm. The timing was perfect. Then the TV shows with all the guys he knew. It was etched in stone every week when he hit the tube growing up. One amazing and funny guy for sure. Alzheimer's sucks!
  20. @Marvel a bit more poignant after what you went thru. That I'll admit. Classic line on the t-shirts though.
  21. Don't ask me cause I'm the one who wakes up @ 10. Today it was 6:30. Have to get a bit of stuff done shortly before it warms up. Past few day were great temp wise but it's goin up the rest of the week pushin 90. Fuel up, fill the gas cans for the mower, spray for some weeds poppin up on the patio pavers then mow. Already hit the plants outside w/some water. Breakfast can wait cause I wanna get a move on. Take it easy.
  22. Maybe I'm just OLD but man Bonamassa and I don't see eye to eye on a LOT of things. Yea, he's great but I'll just stop there. This one's a long one to view but it's a great old song done at prolly the greatest venue in the US aside from the Forum in LA. Wait, I forgot about all the shows @! the Fillmore East and West back in the day. Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado just outside of Denver is the spot that just gets me EVERY time UNLESS it rains but those can be fun too. The man had a plan when he started it in the early 1900's. Yea, it's that freakin old and ain't goin anywhere soon. Today, it's down to a science and if you're ever planning a trip you better get your tickets FIRST and plan around the show. They drop the shows and you better be on top of your game. OR ya can just shell out the big money to the scalpers and go. That takes the fun out of ANY show if you ask me. Back to Joe B. Yea, he's good, darn good, but I'm not a big follower like some so I'll leave it at that. Don't get me wrong he can get 'er done but... This popped up on youtube and I dismissed it but then saw it was @ Red Rocks so gave it a listen. One of my favs but it HAS to be perfect. Perfect is was too so thought I'd throw it down. I know, I know I've heard it all before from my brother-in-law who's a Joe freak. Blah. Oh yea, crank it up! You hit the Rocks you better take you're A game and that he did. Now I wonder if that's out on an LP. Have to nose a bit just not too much. 😂
  23. Ohio's is "The Heart of It All." They got the "it" right.
  24. I'm IN so lemme know! I've always wanted to glow in the dark!
