  1. I believe it depends on the item, but over the past few months of sales, my fees were around 34%.
  2. Makes sense about the high power. I’ll play around and see what I can find for how to bring it all together, or maybe contact Crites and see if they can work some magic.
  3. 1.) Very strange! I’m sure some bizarre corporate rule they’re following. I’ll see what I can come up with, or aftermarket does not hurt my feelings. 2.) I’ll have to do some digging, or do you have one you recommend? The lower cost, the better for me. 3.) noted 4.) That makes me feel better, I’d certainly start with the Marantz and keep my eyes open for something with serious power. 5.) They are $180 a piece, which I think is fair. It’s kind of a project for me to see how I inexpensively I can get an awesome sound, with prices of La Scala’s and Khorns lately I have to imagine I can do better on my own. 6.) I’ll have to reread that thread, that is actually the set of speakers that I fell in love with and decided I needed my own!
  4. 1. I enjoy a challenging hunt (or phone call with klipsch to plead my case) 2. What is the DSP route? 3. I will have to do a little more research on the JBL drivers. 4. Aren’t they super efficient? My space is certainly not large enough to need these speakers, its more of a “because I can” thing. Would a “regular” amp such as the Marantz I mentioned not work for it? Simplicity is what I am after, I want to be able to plug them into a receiver and start jamming like I can with regular speakers.
  5. Okay, good to know. I didn’t think putting JBL’s on Klipsch seemed right. Seems like my best option is B&C DE750 from doing more digging and talking to someone else who has done the job. $300 a piece before buying the 510’s is a bit steep. What do I do about crossovers? I just listen to stereo and currently am powering La Scala’s with a Yamaha CA-1010, but will be swapping a Marantz 4300 in its place soon, and was hoping to use that to power the 904s.
  6. I apologize for the slow replies, I am having a hell of a time with this 2MB photo limit. (What year is it?) Here is a picture of the driver in the horn, thank you Marvel for telling me the difference.
  7. Hello, what horn should a KP-904 have on top? Found some bass bins but they do not have a Klipsch horn on top, but he has a pile of JBL 2418H-1 horns. Would these have been matched up like this at the theatre? Would I want to look for a replacement from Klipsch or would this give proper sound. Thanks for reading my rambling questions.
  8. I haven’t ever owned a sub, I see them for sale all the time but don’t know where to begin.
  9. Thanks for the response! I am blown away with the musical quality of the LS, but after a few months I agree the bottom end is lacking somewhat. Same with the heresy, though I think the volume capabilities and bass response of the Heresy are better suited for each other. I’d be very curious to hear how a 301, I’ll try harder in pursuit of the set I located near me…
  10. $500, had a bunch of multicolor spray paint on the cabs, I think needed new grill cloth as well. They were 4-5 hours each way, so I was mulling it over and they sold (of course at that price.)
  11. Could I hear some opinions on KP-301’s? A set recently came for sale near me and was tempted to buy, but did not know a ton about them so didn’t bite. I own Heresy II’s and LSI Splits, as my points of Klipsch reference. Thanks in advance!
  12. If you are looking at the set for sale in Connecticut this morning, I think they look like a very clean set for the money. Personally I would listen to and make a decision before buying any new parts. Still kicking myself for not buying the $1,000 set down the street from my house a month or so back.
  13. I ran across a set of Heresy I’s this morning, seller says local pickup only in California. I am in Maryland so passing info along. Here is the link: https://reverb.com/item/41926940-klipsch-heresy-1
  14. @Outrider 6 how do they compare with Heresy II’s in your opinion? I was debating checking those out to replace my Heresy II’s, but never made it down to Gaithersburg. Congrats on the score.
  15. Hello, I am looking for a set of La Scala industrial splits. I do not have a preference whether they are full aluminum trim, plastic trim, fiberglass, etc. I am looking for splits as opposed to 1 piece units because the size of my listening space lets me turn in the top hats. Poor condition is ok, I like a project. Blown, bumped, bruised, missing parts, I’ll take any.
