  3. if it is a browser hijack, i recommend you download and run cwshredder. i don't have the link, so you'll have to google it. keep in mind there are so many variants of hijacking, so cwshredder may not cover them all.

  5. agreed with arthurs, Sonus will just break hearts and bank accounts.
  6. unless you like to compete with packed computer labs, then notebooks are the way to go and like other have said, you can use it on the fly and anywhere. if you're stuck on the idea of a desktop, you can still access it from school through remote desktop.
  7. I am in love with Sonus Faber. That is all.
  8. Justin: Thanx for the link! Big Sheesh: Are they still available and how much? thanx.
  9. Justin- not only does klipsh not ship to Canada but our Radio Shacks don't seem to stock the mono plug as listed on your site Justin. arrr... we got shafted!
  10. Thanx. Perhaps I didn't look thoroughly, but I couldn't find that particular plug from the canadian site.
  11. After looking at the tutorial provided at Justins site, I went to radio shack to look for the 1/8" Solderless Mono Phone Plugs. Man, they don't have it. they just have the Stereo and the 3 conductor plugs. Would that matter instead of using a Mono?
  12. nice, I was just thinking about doing that. Did you buy monster cable or did you use regular speaker cable? I wonder if I will hear the difference between them.
  13. Just wondering if you've found a Canadian distributer that carries the monster cables for 4.1. As for the wall brackets, try going to a hardware store like Home Depot and buy L-shaped corner braces at $1.50 a piece. They're actually a nicely polished sturdy metal that looks pretty good and screws perfectly on to the PM sattelites. Works nicely as a wall-mounted speaker bracket, it just isn't adjustable though.
  14. Yah I wonder whether keeping in stand-by longterm affects anything. I've seen it gotten asked several times in the forum, but haven't seen a response for it.
  15. Thanx all for the advice, guess I'll get an extigy, but I am looking forward till when M-audio releases their "theater" soundcard.
  16. Hey ccsakura thanx for the reccomendation, I looked at the Maya 5.1 and the Soncia from M-Audio. Comparing the 2 products http://www.m-audio.com/products/consumer/sonica_page1.php and http://www.audiotrak.net/eng/maya51u.html which do you reccomend and why? The sonica looks very appealing and would you say it rivals or even tops the extigy? naitman
  17. I just purchased Pro Media 4.1, nice set. Now how do I FULLY take advantage of what 4.1 can do for movies and gaming? I want to experience all that Dolby and THX can offer. Though I don't have my laptop yet, I will be purchasing a Toshiba 5200 series. I also listen to quite a lot of music too. any advise?
