  1. Klipschorn upgrades for sale, Just the two items below are for sale, B&C 750 and ALK xoers B&C 750 drivers (pair) $400.00, http://www.parts-express.com/bc-de750-8-2-titanium-horn-driver-8-ohm-4-bolt--294-614 ALK AP12-350 Crossover $250.00, http://www.alkeng.com/
  2. Just the "Heads or squawker tweeter sections, the tops" are for sale now. I will keep the bass bins, I hate to break these up but will never use the top end of these. I will check this evening and see exactly what drivers are in them. There will be 8 midrange and 4 tweeter drivers with the xoer and cab. I am also willing to part out the drivers if there is any interest. I think $500.00 is a fair price.
  3. If you can find a set of TSCM pro line Klipschorns they are selling for about 1,500.00 which is a steal they can be parted out for much more. Put an Eliptrac on top with a B&C driver and Al's gentle slope Xover and you are set.
  4. I am now refreshing a pair of 9844 8b,s, were you able to find a crossover update?
  5. This will be my last post I'm not going to play ping pong with you here! Dear kind sir (OB) please reread the entire thread before you start in on me. I tried all sugjestions including checking seal, gaskets and woofer etc. etc. etc. Please have a nice day []
  6. OB, here we go again, which is why I don't hang out here anymore Gees! Of course I put them up for sale that wasn't the question but you knew that! The question was where did you get the idea the whole thread was posted with the intent to sale. I think if you reflect a little you will understand the natural progression here, it would make much more sense to list the speakers online in a couple of places rather than complaining about the speakers and then try to sell them. But again you knew that, your just trying to start trouble. Please go bother someone else[li] Nice pictures of the JubScala, I thought you would show me the jub bass bins LOL not the tweeter. I bet they sound great. All the best, Guy
  7. Can you show me what a Jub Scala looks like?
  8. OB "'m not being a wise-guy here, but I think he just wants to sell them, and the boominess issue is just the lead in" I wouldn't use the boominess as a lead in. If my plans were to sell them I would have listed them on audiogon and eBay. Where did you come up with that? I brought these speakers up from the band room since there is no longer a band and I had sold my main speakers awhile back. I thought I would give them a go. They are no where near the speakers my K-horns where.
  9. They are for sale.........$500.00 Local pick up Dallas Texar area [Y]
  10. The amp is a 4 month old Spectron Musician III SE and the preamp is an Exemplar Exception with the new cathode follower upgrade. I also have a TADAC tube DAC which is in the system. The electronics are quite good! There are now corners or back wall to be had which may be my problem.
  11. WOW, a lot of comments to respond to. Ok the floor is carpet, speakers are 9' apart listening seat is about 11' from speakers, speakers are 7' from back wall due to stairwell. I will try lifting the speakers 6 inches and see what happens.
  12. I checked the seals and woofers, both are fine. The room is 17' X 27' the speakers are on the short wall about 6' from the rear wall. There is a stair way behind the speakers hence the distance behind them. Also a sub would be fine if we could tighten up the bass.
  13. Thanks Don I will check that today as these speakers where used in the DJ business before I bought them4 years ago.
  14. I thought I might ad.............I don't mind adding a sub for the lower octives if I can just get the bass to 50 htz to firm up.
  15. Hi all, I am in between speakers right now and I have moved my La Scala's up to the main listening room from my music studio for now. They have Bob C's tweeters and AA XO that has been cryoed. At low volumes they sound great but as I turn the volume up (now this might ruffle some feathers, I hope not) the bass just gets nastie, boomie etc. From 400 htz and up they sound great, but I really can't take the bass at all, at volume that is. Is there an easy fix here or not? I have heard of folks putting bracing in the bass horn and although it helps some have heard it's not a big help. Open to ideas? Thanks, Guy
  16. Behringer DCX it is only about $300.00 and the guys on audiocircle.com have mods for it, anywhere from $200-$1500.00 that really make it a first class piece of gear. It isn't bad stock thou.
  17. I have found a set of Moscode 300's that have had the same modds done to them and again they are a match set. So I am selling my lone 300, within the year it has had the trannys repacked and upgraded caps (larger). I am asking $500.00 for the amp. and it is truly a great amp. Thanks and all the best, Guy
  18. Hello all, I have been enjoying my Moscode 300 and would like to find another and use them as mono blocks. If you have one your not using or know of someone that has one they are not using please let me know. I would like to buy it! Plan B would be to find a Moscode 600. Please let me know it there is one available. Thanks and all the best, Guy
