  1. I was and am very interested in DLP, however my local Best Buy cannot keep them in stock and they do not even have a display unit? With this said how can I determine if this is something that I like? Also does anyone know anything about these Philips LCos (SP) TV's? I have read a little but do not know enough about them to determine if it is something that I would be interested in?
  2. So much information I cannot think... Yes there is a lot that goes into buying a TV but then again the research and education is worth the time, plus it makes the day go by faster at work. With everything said, what is the best 42/43 inch HD plasma that is out there right now? That is a reasonable price (Around or Under $8000 or so?) Pioneer, Hitachi, Sony XBR, for looks features, and of course picture quality?
  3. So go with the HD and not the ED, considering that in the next few years many things will be in 720p or 1080i?
  4. Went into my local Best Buy yesterday to look at the 50 inch Pioneer. I am looking at getting the 43 inch version, and I love the looks of the TV. Picture is perfect and it has everything I am interested in, except DVI. The salesman recommended that I seriously consider the Panny ED which is much, much less. Picture wise, both looked great, but I thought that HD was always better than ED? Am I missing something, all I know is the difference in pixel count. Is ED just as good as HD, and why would he try to sell me a much less expensive version that what I am looking to spend? So I guess my questions are, what are the main differences and which once is better? I was set on HD for a long term investment but now I am having second thoughts? Any help would be greatly apprecitated? Thanks! jag
  5. From the looks of it, it is not HD it is ED and 852x480 pixels does not sound that appealing??
  6. Well from the looks of things, I am going to finally bite the bullet and get myself a plasma TV. I am looking at the Pioneer 4330HD, it has just about everything that I am looking for (except DVI) and the price is very reasonable. My questions are: Does anyone currently have this model or seriously considered this model? Overall thoughts? What else is better that is out there under $5000? All responses are greatly appreciated. Thanks! JAG
  7. I am pretty certain that my KG4's do not have magnet to hold the grills on to the speakers. The speaker it self has four holes in each corner and the grill has a ball shaped fixture that fits into that place on the speaker.
  8. Diggs....3 Pairs of KG4's??? .....sounds yummy
  9. Hey all, Heading out to Vegas in a few weeks, taking the girl and another couple are coming with us. We are staying for 3 days and two nights at the Mirage and was wondering if anyone can provide some insight on what shows to see, clubs to hit up, and placed to eat. So far we are thinking about Mystere, O, and Mamma Mia, dinner one night at Aqua, and probably doing a lot of gaming at the Hard Rock. The Celine show looks to be sold out (not that I am upset about it), but is it worth $300 plus for a ticket? Also how much will a cab/limo cost to get me to go the shortest route to the Mirage? Any help will be greatly appreciated. TIA, JAG
  10. I saw them in Chicago as well, and it is well worth $30.00. Very interesting, ammusing, and entertaining. I would highly recomend going for $30.00!!
  11. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ On another dumb Best Buy salesman note, I went their today to pick up a DVD and was browsing the TV's. I heard one salesperson tell a customer that the tv he's looking at has a circular disc that spins and projects the image on to the screen in widescreen format. I just couldn't believe he said it with a straight face. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Well in all honesty he is correct, Best Buy carries a Samsung rear screen projection DLP, that uses the "circular disc' feature known as a "color wheel". Check it out at http://www.dlp.com
  12. I have no idea what she is saying, but me likey... She 18 and born in 1984, which would make her a minor when that video came out...nice one Moon, nice one.
  13. I figured as much Moon, I was waiting for someone to ask if it is really a golf question....or a personal problem...LOL!!! Thanks for all the input, I usually hit my 7 iron about 150. But I guess the true test will be to hit them at the range, those nets in a small room just do not work for me? I have been looking at stiff, as they seem to go straighter and are a little more accurate for me. I really like these Wilson Deep Reds, they are a little stiffer than normal regular felx irons. So we shall see how they hit on the range. Thanks alll (Moon go ahead...say it )
  14. You think that's lucky check out how lucky 4 women will soon be.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=25618&item=2319165758
  15. I know, I am probably the first person to post a Golf question here...and probably the last, but I need some input. I am a beginner golfer about a year or so, I shoot between a 110-120, weight 190 lbs and am 6 foot. I am looking to get a new set of clubs and am unsure whether to get stiff or regular flex shafts? All I have to go on is that the head speed on my 7 iron is between 76-84 mph. Any idea if I need a stiff or regular flex shaft? I am looking at the Taylor Made 360 Irons or the Wilson Deep Red Irons, any experiences with these irons would be appreciated. Thanks guys, JAG
  16. I agree, Klipsch at Sears, very odd. But yea, they are probably selling their lower end speakers there. Really no different than the Yamahas that BB sells, and the H/K that CC sells. You cannot get the higher end receivers that these manufacturers sell at these places. I guess anything to get the Klipsch name out? But Sears....
  17. Pat, The deals that you come across...my word!!! Anyway, I found the NAD T762 for $998 shipped? Should I: A) jump on it, that's a great deal? wait for the T772 to come out in August, then the price of the T762 will go down? C) see if Pat can find a better deal for me? BTW: Where did you pick your us from? Do you know of any other Authorized Dealers? Thanks!
  18. Check out http://www.soundcity.com they have some really good prices. Do not go by what their prices say on their website as they are not updated consistantly. Use the website more as a catalog and then call you get the best price. They are usually very reasonable and sometimes if you ask "is that the best you can do on it" they may cut a little extra as well. good luck, JAG
  19. For someone who is just staring out in the HT area, I would just see if you can find a KV-3. A few months ago one use to pop up on ebay every other week, they seem to be more scarce now, but with a little patience one will come up. I have a KV-3 and it sounds great although a KV-2 will suffice.
  20. LEAFS WIN!!! LEAFS WIN!!! Game 7 in Philly, looks like it will be tough. Toronto HAS to take advantage of the penalties they get. And no more slap shots on penalty shots...I hope I make it through tonights game without another heart attack! GO LEAFS GO!!!
  21. From what I have read an heard, there has been a lot of tension between Corson and Quinn. Mainly about playing time. In addition to that Corson seems to be suffering from some sort of mid-life crisis. I NEVER heard that he was asked to leave, all I heard was that he resigned. In all honesty, it is not a huge loss. Sad, but not a huge loss. I also heard that Moginly may not play on Saturday... Still has not passed all doctors test and is not 100% back to normal. Bad loss last night, 3 weak goals from the Flyers, but Eddie...Eddie is simply amazing! BTW sj993 are you on the right or the left?? GO LEAFS GO!!!!
  22. Pat, $145 for a pair of KG-4's is a great deal!!
  23. No Moginly tonight, Sundin and Nolan better step in up tonight. Roenick better watch out, I hear Domi and Tucker are head hunting...
