No I have towers all around and they sound better then the surrounds too. If you listen the some music that is recorded in 5.1 you will really glad you got the toweres alaround.

I had a incident at work once, put the worng soliond in a transmission. The trany lasted just long enough for a long walk for me back to the shop. That was a long day.

If you want something that will impress your friends and yourself for movies, do your self a favor and look at SVS. I have the 20-39PCI which cost 620.59 to my door. My room is 25x16 and it shakes the whole house not just the room. I used a rsw-10 and it didn't have the low end grunt, house shaking power. It was better for music though, because it was tuned higher. For me the SVS was perfect because I mainly use the sub for movies. Where do you live maybe someone lives close to you and you could go over and listen to them. I live in Wisconsin.

So how was eposide 2? I still haven't had time to watch it yet. I watched monster inc. with my son and it had some cool bass in it too.

I don't own a sub anymore. I sold it because it didn't have the klipsch bagde on it. I didn't really but I don't want people to think that I would recommand svs for ht, because that is what I have. For music there is better. I guy really needs two subs.

I think from now on I will only talk about klipsch and I think will all should. We will see if the klipsch forum will remain one of the best out there. I also think that you should not be able to list equimpent that is nonklipsch on our post, including recievers,CABLES, and other stuff like that. So remember only Klipsch from know on guys,OK

I agree the whole point to these forums is to ask questions and get good answers. I don't want a answer that is always Klipsch if it isn't. Like I said before What type of system do you(newbi) have and what you listen to and we can help you.

Moose This is the first time I have ever heard of someone with a major problem with there Denon. My family has been using Denon for a long time and we never had problems with ours. My father has the 3800 and he bought his when they first came out, he still using it and has never had a problem. Have you ever ussed anyother reicever with your set up? Maybe there is something else wrong hear than the receiver.

I watch FIA and it is awsome. S. will probally run away with it, he has the best backers around and that is 50% of the racing.

You will find that you will need a sub that can total drown out the other speakers. You turn the bass down but the sub has enough behind it to give you very clean tight bass. If you have a sub that you need to turn all the way up to get bass loud enough for the music/movie then all you will get is distortion. You won't realy relize all the distortion there is unless you try a good sub, and you will hear the differnce. This is what is happening to all my friends when they listen to my SVS. Now they realize what a good sub can bring to the experice of a sound track. All I say is take the dealers up on there 15 to 30 day free in house trail and you will see what I am talking about.

I think maybe the subs you listened to DAD were not set up right. It sounded like they had the gain turned up to high for the volume of the other speakers. I have found they do this alot to try and make the subs sound more powerful than what they realy are.

Ya this non-klipsch sub sucks and I think I am sending it back and buying a ksw10. NOT. I had it on all day and listened to 3 movies and had music playing though it the rest of the time. I can't really smell anything from it anymore, my wife decided to try and cook this morning. Lets just say I woke up to the smoke alarm. Let me tell you this thing is still fun to play with. I look at all those connection on the back and ask my self why. I have never seen anybody use those that have decite gear.

Read the review wasn't much of a review. I acturly went past it a couple of times thinking it was a advertisement.

They just look cool to the guy next door. I have not used them but I have often wondered the same question, and often thought of hooking some stuff up to them to see how it sounds. Maybe the ear can fill use in, he has tryed all kinds of stuff.

nice dancing certs. It would be even more funny if it was your dad's and he was coming home in an hour. Just kinding this sucks. Make sure if you pull any wire off you get them pack on in the right spots.

The rule of thumb here is the lower you go in impendence(8-4 ohms) The harder the amp has to work. Also the higher the output the amp can reach. Some amps can not handle the load of a 4 ohm speaker and it will over heat or short out. As to rising the impendence you can do this with out a problem but your amp output will go down.(100wpc-60wpc as an exp) But you will not hert the amp or speakers. I hope this helps. I want one that can go low at high volume with low distortion, but doesn't anybody. What does your system contain? What sub are you using now if any? Welcome to the forum I hope you will like it here. I would like you to reply to your first question. Did you read them?

Hi mathew! Everyone had there own opion. If you take the time to read alot of these reviews you will see that we just don't recomand svs. I am sure that Klipsch R@D is reading all of these and are working on some great subs, because they have some realy good subs know. We all have Klipsch speakers and love them. I personaly will not buy any other main speakers. I just found for my ht system the svs matches my style a little better. This place is great because you can ask all kinds of questions from Denon to HK, and we all will give our input on them based on personal experence. So Ask Away Man, and what does your system contain.

No I don't want any warrenty concerns. I will let them do that. Even though I am a mechanic and work with this kind of stuff everyday.

Nice I hate the wires also. I put all mine in the automotive plastic rap. It works good and I am a tech so the price is right. The tube still smells. I will listen and leave it on all day tomorrow and I hope it will go away. When are you going shopping with the wife? ha ha ha.
