  1. Yes, original Klipsch zebrawood built by Andy himself. I live near Baltimore and have never seen a moth like that until today. Had to do a double-take. First I thought it was a butterfly sitting on a preying mantis.
  2. Just thought I'd throw this in. A giant moth I found on the front of my house today. Don't ever recall seeing one quite this big in my part of town.
  3. Attached are some pics of my zebrawood cornwalls as promised. Since this is the first time I've tried this, bear with me if it doesn't work.
  4. Some amps are easier to get to than others. If mine were easily accessible, I'd do the same.
  5. DT - I have an old beast of a Kenwood (KR9600) that I currently use with my cornwalls. Although I'm in the market for a Scott 299B as was suggested, I also have an Audio Control C-101 EQ hooked up with the Kenwood. It makes a world of difference. Tightens up highs, mids and lows. Like night and day when you A/B it. If I had khorns I'd find tube gear before doing anything else but I thought I'd share that with you.
  6. I'll be posting pics of my zebrawood cornwalls tomorrow night. They aren't khorns but you'll get the idea.
  7. I use a Niles DPS-1 switchbox made specifically for that purpose. It's best to have a direct connect of course but it's a hassle to switch wires every time. I found this to be the best of what's available. It ain't cheap (around $100). You can get a plastic one at Radio Shack for $9.99 but you'll hear the difference.
  8. I hadn't hooked up my TT in more than 10yrs until recently. It had a 70s 681EEE that I got 2nd hand in 1979. I was more than a little worried that I'd have to shell out some $$ for a new cartridge but I threw on Joe Walsh's "So What" album and it still sounded good as new. Well built cartridges I'd say.
  9. You may have just inadvertantly created a new hole in the ozone layer.
  10. Just got back from the Caps game a little while ago. I can't believe after being up 2-0 we lost to TAMPA! AARRAUGH!!! Exciting game though. As they say, there's always next year.
  11. Big, white marshmallows are great. I sometimes keep a bag in the car for long commutes (no generic brands - has to be kraft). It's peeps that I have a problem with. The "you all are sick" comment was all in fun I hope you know.
  12. What's up with those peeps marshmallow things? Does anyone actually like those? I love practically anything marshmallow but those are disgusting!
  13. At the MCI Center, the high priced, corporate owned suites have an inside, living room/kitchen like area with sliding glass door leading to a 12 or so seat private sitting area so you can watch the game from both inside or out. All new arenas and stadiums are built this way. I'm lucky enough to work for a company who owns suites like this at MCI, Camden Yards and Redskins Stadium (formerly known as Jack Kent Cook Stadium). I get to go to each about twice a year, sometimes for sporting events, other times for concerts. Saw Billy Joel at MCI and The Stones at JKC. It's the best way to see a hockey game, that's for sure. The fridge is always stocked with Molsen's!
  14. I was waiting for that question. The answer is Maryland. I'm just a dumba$$ banker. Nothing so noble as an M.D. Craig and I will talk on Monday but I think we'll probably work things out (unless someone changes his mind before then).
  15. I too have the rc3II and the rs3II as center and surrounds and I use the small setting since I have cornwalls as fronts. A/B it but I think you'll end up with the small setting.
  16. I'll let you know Monday. For now it's top secret information.
  17. I spend a week every summer in Ocean Pines. If you decide you want to show off your new khorns to a fellow forum member who will be in your neighbohood Aug 16-23, it would be greatly appreciated. It is also a dream of mine to someday own a pair but I think I'll have to wait for my 15 yr old to finish college.
  18. The difference right now is Tweeters has all Klipsch speakers marked down by 1/3. They sell them no more. What's left in stock and on the floor is it.
  19. I like my shakti's sauteed in butter on top of a filet mignon.
  20. Not only great lower box, center ice seats, but it's catered at company expense. And we have our own bathroom (very important when consuming fine Canadian beer).
