Speaking of guitars, where's that photo of your wall of guitars, BigStewMan?

I've been buying and selling audio gear in my spare time for about 10 years now.
They key to your success is you appear to be buying and SELLING. I am finding it hard to part with stuff, particularly Klipsch Heritage and Reference speakers. Keep selling & check out the Garage Sale forum where you may save Feebay splits.
Welcome

Coincidentally, that episode airs tonight on Fallon, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are on too. LMAO when I saw Chad Smith & Will Farrell's drum-off.

I was referring to the RCA style audio component interconnect cables for supplying to a 2nd amp or receiver from a primary AVR or processor, so the same source material can be played on multiple floors, or outside. Are you saying you are using speaker wire for this and putting your own ends on it, or are you just using it to supply speakers in another room?
-
What caliber cables should be used to run to 2nd/3rd zones? Are there reasonable cables for running 50 or more feet? I realize there are probably hundreds of options, but I am just looking for recommendations for a decent cable at a reasonable price. Thanks for your help!

Anyone listen to FM radio anymore? The closeup of the ding on the upper right makes it stand out more. The front pics put it in proper perspective. $75 + shipping or best offer.

Yeah, these have been out there for a couple months, at least. Was going to ask you Opus, is it because they are Chorus I's and not II's? Is the front ported vs. passive radiator a drawback for the Chorus I? Maybe not the right thread for asking, but I have seen these for quite a while and thought they would have been nabbed in great condition with original boxes.

I have an appreciation for most genre's, but can't do rap. Lat night, Ice Tea was on Jimmy Fallon with a band called Body Count...a repeat from last week. The band rocked and was almost tolerable rap, because of the band. Then again, it may not have been classified as rap. The band kind of reminded me of Living Colour. Vernon Reid is a great guitarist. My heavy side has mellowed over the years, but when the time comes, Creed, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Metalilca, Soundgarden, STP, but some of these may not be classified as Metal, more just hard rock. Possum Kingdom by Toadies is a song that will always get the volume knob up there for me. Heavy, I don't know, but damn good.

Looks to have some upgrades, great shape too.
I know CA is a huge state, but man you have a lot of La Scalas out there. They seem to be popping up like dandelions. Good thing I am thousands of miles away.

Conrats Steve! Half the excitement & fun is in the quest and chase like you just experienced. If you need, or are considering false corners, there are some simple instructions in the basic Heritage manual. It is probably available on the Klipsch site. Or maybe, some forum members can shed some light to prior threads regarding false corners. I am renovating my basement and think I will be building a false/short corner. My Khorns are too far apart, but rooms can be really tricky. Kick back & relax and enjoy your new Khorns! And of course, that awesome sub!

This was the response I got to an inquiry I made regarding 'free music albums vinyl records roughly 500 albums' Looks like my collection won't be growing with this one.
"its basically people like andy Williams to the best of polka. they are clean. if your interested still let me know. you can pick up tomorrow"

What are your thoughts regarding the pricing on these?

I haven't seen a movie in a theater since Star Wars in 1977...no wait, it was episode 1 in the mid 90's. I prefer to spend my $ on my own equipment and a few Blu rays here & there. Plus I prefer to be close to my fridge where I can serve up my own "soda". I imagine now it may be pretty frustrating with the lack of cell phone etiquette. I guess I am getting old before my time.

Wow, that sure is an elegant combo...Gorgeous! Is that natural birch, or a very light stain tint? I want some. Keep us posted on your progress. Where are you getting your cane grill material?
-
Someone out here posted somewhere a starting point, and I think the rationale was 50% of the cost of new (at that time), and then +/- based on condition. That seems pretty accurate. I paid $1,600 11 years ago new, but also purchased the whole RF-7 system, so the dealer worked with me. $800 - $1,000 seems pretty accurate for a very clean pair. There has been a pair on CL in Chicago at $1,200 and they aren't selling. I saw a cherry pair of RF-7II's this Spring for $1,450 and thought that was very fair. Wished I had the cash, I would have pulled the trigger. Original boxes are a plus...kind of tells me the owner had pride in them and would do anything to protect them if a move was needed. On the other hand, dented dust caps and/or creased woofers, tell me they weren't taken care of properly. If pets or kids are in the mix, the grills should have stayed on. $850 with original boxes was a good price Philly.

Philly, I thought you were asking from a personal perspective of auditioning something in your own system to see how they perform, to maybe decide placement, or whether you want to keep or sell. If you are asking from a potential buyer's perspective in auditioning for a sale, by all means what ever they like. I asked a buyer what they wanted to hear, and it was classical. I only have like 2 or 3 classical CD's so he went to his car and got a CD he burned and proceeded to listen to his stuff for a half hour. After they left I cranked some Brooks & Dunn to make sure my speakers didn't turn on me. They bucked a bit like a bull, but settled in about mid way through "Neon Moon".

Very interesting correlation between many forum members & our dislike for Facebook. I don't go there either. Good luck with the contest. I will ask my wife to give you a like.

Is Billy Bob Thornton still jamin Klipsch?

That's a LOT of speaker for $600. If I were in the market for them, I would pay $600 for a nice clean pair.
Good find!

The Very Best of Chicago (although by far, not my favorite band, plenty of horns), Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd, Joe Bonamassa - Live from the Royal Albert Hall Blu ray in DTS, Steely Dan - Aja, just to mention a few.

SOLD!
in Garage Sale
I have the exact same center...it rocks! Enjoy it! Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think their is a center with 8" woofers in the reference lineup anymore. I haven't heard an RC-64 with four 6.5 woofers to compare, but would be interested in hearing the difference.

I have had these since 1981, when I worked at Playback (an audio retail store), so they are from around that time. I thought they were for a Sansui SE-5 equalizer, but the holes did not match. The black metal has a grain going up & down if you were looking at the side if mounted. Tape should help determine if they fit your equipment. Let me know if you have a component they match.

o.k., maybe not fine art, but a creative use of old license plates and a chainsaw bear I brought back for my wife passing through Superior, WI on the way home from a Canadian fishing trip 25 years ago. Ironwood moose from Puerto Penasco Mexico (Rocky Point). Da Bears!
