  1. Craigslist link https://tippecanoe.craigslist.org/ele/d/frankfort-klipsch-chorus-ii-speakers/7298088443.html I am located in Frankfort, IN 46041 I have a pair of Chorus II speakers for sale. One is missing the woofer. All other speakers are intact and everything is original. (*SPEAKERS SOLD*) I also have a pair of Adcom GFA-565 mono amps, an Adcom GFP-565 preamp, and an Adcom GCD-575 cd player. I know the amps will need repaired. The research I've done showed that these amps had problems with capacitors leaking and causing failures and burning up speakes. This is likely why the one woofer is missing. I did try these amps and I just get static/hissing sound. The distortion light is always on too. If that helps anybody. The preamp does work as far as I can remember but it is "staticy" when the volume is adjusted. I haven't tried the CD player for years and don't know if it works or not. There is a guy that repairs the amps at https://www.ebcelectronics.com/Adcom-GFA-565-Repair-Service.html My dad got everything around 1991 I believe. I always wanted to replace the woofer and repair the other equipment. I just don't have the space or money for them right now and have had them sotting around for years. It's just time to let them go. Pictures I have are over 2MB. So, see pictures in above Craigslist post. ***UPDATE 3/28*** I DID SELL THE SPEAKERS 3/30 All sold
  2. I run an all-digital system to the extent that I can (I digitize phono right after the RIAA preamp). My CD player went kaput and new CD players are all but nonexistent, so I'm looking for a DVD or Blu-Ray player (or preferably transport -- I don't need onboard DACs) with S/PDIF or AES/EBU output that does not resample the 44.1 kHz CD signal to 48 kHz. Every DVD and Blu-Ray player for which I have even actually been able to find the info (most don't say) resamples the CD digital output to 48 kHz. Suggestions welcome. Budget approximately $400. Thanks. - Greg
  3. I have been collecting a spindle of unwanted or duplicate CD's for a few years now that contains any CD's that I was unable to get a perfect rip from the Exact Audio Copy application. For the most part that means that at least one track wasn't a perfect rip but you don't even hear any problem with the resulting file. Some did result in some clicks in the files. These all have varying degrees of scratches and will vary in play-ability. I've bought a lot of used CD"s through the years and they don't always work out the way I hoped. Take a chance and get some CD's that you've been wanting for extra cheap. $28 for spindle of 52 CD's (see list below) My kid typed the list so forgive typing errors: John Coltrane Blue Train Junior Wells Live at Buddy Guy's Legends John Michael Montgomery Lifes a Dance Madonna The Immaculate Collection Madonna Like A Virgin Celine Dion Let's Talk About Love Mya Fear of Flying Charlie's Angels Music from the motion picture Jimmy Buffet In Concert You Had to be there The Judds greatest hits volume 2 JERRY GARCIA, DAVID GRISMAN ~ RYKO old and in the way Lorrie Morgan greatest hits rebecca st. james transform George Jones And Along Came Jones Heartland Music Country Jukebox disc2 Heartland Music Country Jukebox disc1 Bruce Hornsby Hot House Garth Brooks Sevens Aretha Franklin 30 Greatest Hits Bob Marley and the Wailers Legend - The Best of Bobby Marley and the Wailers Blues Masters the essential blues collection - Sampler the Beatles the Early tapes Louis Armstrong What a Wonderful World Bob Dylan Bob dylan's Greatest Hits Volume 2 Disc 2 Frederic Chopin Murray Purahia, piano The Who The Very best of the Who Sheryl crow and friends live from central park Sugar ray floored Tom Petty Greatest Hits Save the last dance Music from the Motion Picture Bridget Jones's Diary Music from the Motion Picture Toby Keith Unleashed Hootie and the blowfish Hootie and the blowfish Mariah Carey Butterfly The Doors the best of the doors disc 2 Runaway Bride Music from the motion picture Brandy Never S-A-Y Never The Doors the Best of the Doors disc 2 Creed Human Clay the countdown singers Millennium Dance Serendipity Music from the miramax motion picture Rolling Stones steelwheels Rolling Stones flashpoint Sting The Summoner Tales The Steve Miller Band greatest hits 1974-78 Harley Davidson Motorcycles road songs disc2 Harley Davidson Motorcycles road songs disc1 Emmylou Harris and the nash ramblers at the ryman tim mcgraw live like you were dying Keith urban golden road phil collins …hits the temptations the ultimate collection
  4. Just disclosed my first buy via this forum succesfully, so I thought why not put out some feelers for the future? Not urgently looking for these parts, but if anyone is ever looking to sell them (or planning too), hit me up! Very interested! Ultimately looking for: 1) 5-9 Faital HF-200 or 20AT drivers. 2) another pair of K510 horns 3) a pair of K-402 drivers! Important! I'm located in Europe, so I can only do shipping. To be clear, a lot of stuff you guys sell and offer over here is: or never available in Europe OR still cheaper than buying it over here (prices or some products are hugely inflated over here)(the 2x horns I mentioned would have to be shipped from the US, even if I buy them new.. so shipping them second hand is still way cheaper than new). Thanks in advance
  5. Why on earth has Amazon moved from cardboard to those bubble wrap CD mailers??? This has been going on for quite some time. It used to be a small percentage of CD's I order would have a cracked case but I have a box full of old jewel cases that allows me to swap out cracked parts. I didn't complain because it was easier just to replace the cracked parts. But now most shippers are using bubble wrap mailers all the time and the percentage of cracked cases is getting ridiculous! The 3rd party sellers on Amazon are pretty bad about this too. It doesn't matter if the CD's are new or used they ship them in those thin flimsy bubble wrap mailers that don't protect them from much of anything. In the last two days I have received 3 separate orders of CD's and all 3 are cracked. I don't order as much vinyl but they haven't done a whole lot better protecting them. Yes, I actually received a record in a bubble wrap sleeve and I was surprised to find the record unharmed but the corners of the sleeve took some hits as if Wile E. Coyote was holding it when stepping off a cliff. I recently got a SACD from Music Direct in bubble wrap. I was surprised because they used cardboard boxes before. Sure enough, the nice SACD case was cracked and I don't have any spares so I let them know. They were very quick to send me a replacement case in a... you guessed it... a bubble wrap mailer. The case wasn't cracked thankfully but sheesh! These companies are really taking a chance with customer satisfaction by trying to save a few pennies on shipping! My encouragement to you, the CD buyer, is to not stand for even the smallest crack in your cases. Let the shipper know that they need to make it right and replace the case or give you a refund. When these bubble wrap mailers become too expensive for them because of complaints maybe they will stop the practice. Even putting a small mailer inside of a bigger mailer goes a long way to protecting the CD better. There certainly are a lot more important things going on in the world but it really bugs me seeing a brand new CD still in the shrink wrap with a big crack across the front.
