  1. Hey. I bought some second hand 2.1 promedia speakers (without subwoofer) and I have no idea how to power them on. I will attach pictures to help explain. Essentially it comes with a control pod which has a green headphone cable, and another unknown cable that kind of looks like an s link. There were then two sets of monster cables that each plug into the back of a satellite speaker respectively. I have no idea how to a) attach the two speakers together and b) turn them on. Please help. Is the subwoofer necessary to turn on the satellites? Pics: https://imgur.com/a/mSHOuRH
  2. Hi everyone, I'm new in the forum, and got in here because I was tempted to get the reference premiere RP-260F floorstanders, like it more the 280F, but I prefer to be just right in the middle between the 250 and 280, and compensating with a subwoofer the smaller 6,5" woofers of the 260F. Anyway, I got to the store and they run out of the RP-260F, and not getting any RP-250/260/280F anymore, since, as they said, Klipsch is replacing them with the "all new reference premiere" rp line, to be said; 5000, 6000 and 8000F respectively. (BTW, I'm not in the states, so I'm not buying directlty from Klipsch, crutchfield, BB, others, handling, taxes, and mostly, shipping) They still have a pair of RP-280F, and they're also expecting a shipment of RP-5000/6000/8000F in the next few weeks. Have you guys any thoughts about the comparable RP-6000F with the one I wanted to buy?, the RP-260F? (same woofers size), how would it compare the RP-6000F with the available RP-280F? The price of these two are almost the same here. Thanks in advance for your advice!
  3. So I finally have my own space where I can set up a real (have always had cheap all in one systems lol) home theater. I bought a Samsung 65" curved 4K TV and I could really and (would so appreciate) any help someone could give me on the theater part. I'm reading and learning but still kind of lost lol. So I'm putting it in my finished basement the space is (from back wall by bar to the TV) 20'x16' so about 320 square feet. Seating is kind of shaped like a Diamond. I purchased a pair of R-26F speakers to start (thought it was a great deal and they had really good reviews). I can return though if there is something that is way better out there. The speakers came with a R-10SW subwoofer (again can return). Do I need a second sub? I'm looking at the RF-250c for my center (but open to other suggestions.) However no clue on the receiver (was looking at a new Sony STRDN1080) but I just don't know what is best. Would like to stay at about $600 or under if possible. Though if I needed to I could go a little higher. if I really needed too I could wait a few more pay checks and go up to 900-1,000 but that would be absolute max. I would prefer to only do that if it was going to be a huge difference. I also am not sure about the rear speakers? Do I just get something cheaper or is it worth putting money into those as well? i will be using this for movies and music however the priority is movies. Love movie night and really want to have that (as close as my budget allows) movie theater sound. I have about $1,000-$1,250 (right now) left to finish this project (if I wait I can go up to $1,500) much higher my wife is going to kill me lol. thank you so much for reading this and for any advice anyone can provide. JP
  4. I just moved into a home that has several Klipsch speakers installed around the patio. They are not hooked to any amp or other device--the wires run into the kitchen and terminate under the sink. I'd like to hook them into something, and do it as cheaply as possible (for now). Any recommendations or suggestions?
  5. Hello everyone, this is my first post ever. ( You can skip the next two parts, and read just the Question ) [Intro] My name is Vasilis, I am 26 years old, living in Greece, and I'm a fairly new Klipsch user, and basically a new user of Home Audio in general. Other than some average "pc speakers" I never had anything special. I really wanted to build my own Home Theater though, so after a lot of thought and digging up posts and reviews I concluded that Klipsch is for me, for several reasons. [Info] 5 Months ago I started building the system, and my first buy, were the Klipsch RP280Fs alongside the AVR. I was pretty stunned by the results I got, but obviously I could not stop there. I would like to expand the system, until I ultimately reach a 5.1 or 7.2 setup. As I am not rich though, and these speakers are really expensive here in Greece, I buy the parts one at a time, or two if they are a set like fronts or rears. [My Question] Yesterday I bought the Third part of my Home Theater Audio setup. The Klipsch R-115SW. I've tried it for several hours, and can honestly say it's impressive. I love the sound. And I don't think I ever heard bass that low in my life. That being said, I found out that the LED Indicator in the front side of the Subwoofer is not lighting up. The sub is connected to the AVR using one RCA cable connected to the L/LFE input, and I use the "Auto" power mode. I also tried setting it to ON. Still no LED. Other than the LED the unit seems to be working perfectly. At least I think so. Knobs for Amplification and Filter work, the Phase switch works, and the sub is clearly producing sound. Is this LED going to cause any problem ? Or does this indicate that I need to return it? Because if the problem is just that (the LED) I don't really care. I will not return a 35kg subwoofer just because the LED does not work. But just in case I wanted to ask you since someone in here might know a bit more than me. Thank you very much in advance. I am looking forward to your answers. I can post pictures or a video of the setup if you wish.
  6. After around 30 minutes of use my speakers AND woofers shut down and wont turn back on! SERIOUSLY?!? Can anyone tell me if they had a similar problem and if you know a fix to this!! PLEASE! (Bought from amazon on black Friday 2016)
  7. Hello, New here and looking for advice. My family is building a new home and we are going to put a home theater in it. We are thinking of putting some money into the behind the wall stuff for now. When the house is done start off lower on the cost side of things and build it us as budget allows over time. We are looking at setting it up for 7.2.4 Atmos Dolby sound. Room will be used for movies and maybe sports/tv during parties. The room is 13 feet wide and 20.5 feet long and 9.75 foot ceilings for the most part. We are having two risers built in the back to lift couches/seating. Wanted to see if the 7 speakers and 4 ceiling speakers people think is too much for a room that size? If so would you get rid of the rear speakers, ceiling speakers, one set of ceiling, or rear and ceiling? What speaker/sub combination would everyone recommend. We had Klipsch 5.1 in an old house and we loved it so I would like to go with Klipsch again. I don't have a recieiver or anything picked out yet. Like I said some of the room might get pieced together as we move into the house and over time. Thanks in advance, Patrick
  8. I'm just asking for someone's opinion on the value of two brand new 1970s La Scalas still in their original shipping boxes. I'm undecided whether to sell them and need some guidance. I picked them up at the factory in Hope Arkansas about 40 years ago and they've been kept in storage since then. I believe the cabinets are unfinished birch.
  9. I have had these for awhile but never took them out of the box except to photo. Can provide photos on request but I am having trouble attaching to this post. Was going to use them in a new house but we never got approved to buy. Serious surround sound from these bad boys! They are black so they blend with any decor. Would like $350.00 but will concider offers. I live in the south metro area of the Twin Cities, Minnesota but will ship for actual shipping cost if your not local SOLD!
  10. Hello all, I currently have a pair of RB-81 II Cherry bookshelf speakers that I am looking to sell. These speakers have only been hooked up once for 10 minutes to ensure they worked properly and they sound great. They are still in the packaging that I had received them in. I'm looking to sell them for $750 and I will include the shipping to anywhere in the US. If anyone is interested please let me know. http://imgur.com/GYNMcMh,kOvOzJl,z4h7ATr,PmM2QEZ,ZxIDaNc,slPKb96#0 **EDIT** Speakers have been sold!!! **EDIT** I am also selling an Aragon Stage One preamp for $250 that is still ongoing.
