winchester21
My attic looks like a graveyard for old audio components and TVs. Not much good stuff- mostly old junk. Found this today. Any good?? What is it worth? 2- Technics turntables- SLQ D33- Both have Shure Cartridges(I think) Kenwood KA 7300 Kenwood KT 7300 All appear to be in decent shape. The kenwoods are heavy as heck and appear to have large power sources.
Mallette
As with all things audio, the question is not age, but how good does it sound? Hook'em up and check it out. Dave
Marvel
I have the sameTT, and it works well fo me. Still need to get a better cartridge, as mine is an inexpensive on, the name of which I won't mention. It has never failed or caused me any problems. It is a direct drive, and mine is very smooth running. Bruce

It could be worth more in pristine condition.
Hifi jim
The Kenwood integrated I just recently sold was similar and a very good performer, the matching tuner is some what sought after by the tuner/tweaker junkies. Both should fetch very solid money on eBay... unless you like them enough to keep. Hook em up and find out!
Audio Flynn
Kenwood KT-7300 (1977, $260, photo) search eBayThe KT-7300 is a solidly built tuner that weighs a ton, and theconsensus is that it has excellent sound. With 4 gangs and 3 280 kHz(wide) filters in stock form, the KT-7300 has the potential to be adecent tuner for DXing (but not as good as a modified KT-7500) whentuned up and modified with narrow filters. The KT-7300 has one IF gainstage and there is easy access to the circuit board for mods. Ourcontributor Bill Ammons reports that it is a great tuner forweak-signal areas but not as good a performer where there are a numberof strong signals. See Bob's Filter Corner for a description of Bill's PCB filter mod, see the DIY Modspage for information on DIY audio section and power supply mods for theKT-7300, and read about the performance of a modded KT-7300 on the Modified Tuner Reportpage. The KT-7300 is virtually identical, cosmetically, to the KT-7500,even though it's not even close to the same tuner electronically. Ithas a variable output level knob on the front panel, plus an FM MPXfilter and separate muting and auto/mono switches. On the back panelare jacks for an oscilloscope, a 75 uS/25 uS de-emphasis switch and anFM detector output jack. See how one KT-7300 sounded compared to manytop tuners on our Shootoutspage. The KT-7300 can usually be bought for $35-75 on eBay (withoccasional lows of under $20), but much higher is possible: $172 forone with a manual in 4/07 and $128 for a mint one in 12/07. Mallette
I can't help but ask. If you don't know anything about this stuff, how did it get in your attic? Maybe I should check mine... Dave

winchester21
Ok - here's the deal. A friend was going through a nasty divorce back 12 years ago. He had a bunch of high end audio stuff among other things. His ex knew that he had some decent components but she did know specifics. So- she had scheduled an apprasier to come to his storage space containing his stuff and see what her half was worth. His stuff was much better than mine so we quickly swapped systems. She ended up getting my stuff in the settlement and I kept his. He said he would rather give it to me than to see her get it.I gave him some wine and a couple of guns to make up the difference. These components were quickly stashed in my attic during the ordeal as I had run out of room in my listening area/man cave. Just now getting back into audio and figured I should see what they were. There is also a B&O turntable up there if I can find it. Dont know which model. Prettty slack huh? lazy @ssed pack rat. Guilty as charged.
