Saturn5 Posted January 25, 2009 Share Posted January 25, 2009 Impressive, but I've wondered for a long time why we can't get some of the good diesel cars they have in Europe. Top Gear did an economy "race" last series with a Jaguar XJ6 TDVi. 0-60 in 6.8 sec. Top speed 140 mph. Full size Jag comfort, and got over 50 mpg from it's twin turbo V6 diesel. jheis Posted January 25, 2009 Share Posted January 25, 2009 A gallon under the old British Imperial system was = to 1.201 US gallons, but the Brits switched to the metric system in 1995. The rest of Europe has been on the metric system forever. The quoted miles per gallon (MPG) figures are converted from kilometers per liter (Km/l).
