thebes
90 minutes to S Hour. Our commander has made his preparations. He has assumed full battle regalia, orange shirt, orange hat, orange mittens, enough orange to get shot down in a minute were he in downtown Belfast.Arrayed before him his weapons await. Beer, chips, onion dip (Lipton's of course) and being a traditionalist, pickled eggs, Slim Jim's and BeerNuts. Some might say it's only a battle, a necessary step on the way a successful campaign resulting in total victory. Others say that victory today is not needed. But it's honor that's at stake and in the cold frozen wastes of Upstate New York, honor is all we have to cling to when the blizzards rage and the wolf's howl.So I wait. Waiting is the hardest part, but soon, to soon perhaps, the dogs of war will be unleashed, our brave lads will venture forth with their battle cry of "Let's Go Orange" ringing in their ears. God save the souls of those who will fall beneath the unerring juggernaut of our own grim reaper, Coach Boeheim.Waiting. Waiting is the hardest part. ******************** The 'Cuse. 6 overtimes to beat Connecticut. OT last night to beat West Virginny. I gotta admit I'm not much of a sports fan but I just love this time of the year.
Dflip
Thursday to Sunday of nonstop basketball with more than a few buzzer beaters. It should be fun. The cuse will be in tough. All they have to do is beat Oklahoma, North Carolina and then the top from the other side, say Louisville or Memphis. The west looks like a tough conference. Well the opening moves of the camapgin are going according to plan. President Obama has picked Syracuse to upset Oklahoma. Great time of the year, few to no upsets yet, but plenty of fun ball ahead. Suprised nobody here wants to talk trash about their teams.
