Professor Thump
Killswitch Engage (2009 - present) The band is currently touring with Disturbed as part of the Music as a Weapon tour, and will play in the Rockstar "Mayhem Festival" with Slayer.[40] The band was also confirmed for Download Festival 2009.[41] The band entered the studio in October 2008 to start recording their next album with Dutkiewicz and Brendan O'Brien co-producing it (a first for the band),[42] In mid-February, bassist Mike D'Antonio confirmed in an interview with Metal Hammer that "drums were finished", and that he had “finished up the last few bass fixes". He also stated that Howard [Jones] is in Atlanta finishing vocals, and that "it shouldn’t be too much longer now.”[43] The band has also since been playing new material on tour.[44] On April 14th, the band announced the name of their album as 'Killswitch Engage', the second time the band has self-titled the name of their album. It is now expected to be released on June 30th.[

Professor Thump
ZZ came to Indy's Verizon Center (Deercreek). Crate is the sponsor for the guitar amps as can be seen in the background.
colterphoto1
On the O2 shot the video screen is behind the action on stage. On the big screen Pagey's taking a drag off a cig, on stage he's playing! The third stack of amps is Orange I believe, Page was always fond of Orange amps. Great shot there, I like the backlit array and the fisheye shot of ZZ. Plus- NICE RIG MANG! dang, you had it going on. Bill Hendrix- NOTE the dual amp racks, one for each side of the stage, which keeps speaker leads down in length. Professor Thump
There are a couple of good ones out there. The big one when I was keeping track was Anvil. Make sure you get an ATA approved case with recessed butterfly latches. This case will last longer. You also don't need the added foam shock case unless you have a lot of high priced gear in it. It doesn't work well for amps because the weight tends to make the inner rack sag if it is not balanced when the amps are mounted http://www.anvilcase.com/products/ata.html http://www.cases2go.com/catpages/Anvil/about_anvil_cases.asp_Q_id_E_254
colterphoto1
Star cases are great too and less spendy than pure Anvil. Watch the OSP type cases, they can be from any vendor and tend to be thinner walled and cheaper hardware. Trey buys Road Ready cases for Klipsch and uses 12 space shock racks. Usually two amps and processing gear per each. http://www.roadreadycases.com/ Bill, with the weight and expense of the Crown XTi amps, you'd probably be ok with 10-12 space shock mount cases. Add up the total weight of all gear and make sure that two men can roll/lift it without injury. Let's see-a 10 space would probably do you unless you wanted front mounted jack panels. Get one for each side of the stage. Power strip/surge protector dual 15 or dual 31 band eq for monitors (always in the stage racks so you can ring them out, can't do from FOH) XTi2000 for monitors -one of these would do two monitor sends of two cabients each XTi1000 for MB/HF -one side of stage XTi 4000 for SW/LF -one side of stage On the other side of the stage the XTi2000 could serve more monitors or just as a spare. Professor Thump
Bill, Make sure you get the rails with the tapped bolt holes. The clip on nuts don't work near as well and are not as strong.
jamesV
This is the 2009 AC/DC Black Ice concerts with EV X Array. BTW... According to to this article the "Monsters of Rock" had a 1 Mega Watt touring system with EV: http://www.prosoundweb.com/article/inside_story_sound_reinforcement_for_ac_dcs_ongoing_black_ice_tour/ Harry Witz of Clair International (formerly of dB Sound) designed this system according to the article. I can tell you that it was LOUD. My gf and I had ringing in our ears for 2 days, it was well worth it. [H] James
