winchester21
Just got back from Montreal. Here- you will see maybe one TT at Best buy. Have to go into a high end audio shop here to look at any decent selection of TTs if they even have them in stock. In Canada TTs are everywhere. A radio shack grade place will have 3 or 4 different selections. A lot of Denons and stuff that I have never heard of. Guess vinyl is making a big comback up there. fenderbender
Not sure about Montreal, but Toronto has some of the best used vinyl shops around......every visit I go to Cosmos records and come away with at least 25 primo jazz lps....he must have 15-20K lps in jazz alone, with a private back room dedicated to 1st and rare releases. I also noticed that a lot of the used electronic shops have dozens of turntables in different states of repair.....not sure if it's that vinyl is making a comeback, or it just never went away up north.....? Islander
Q-Lectronic, the local vintage hi-fi shop, usually has at least 20 used turntables on display, and their used vinyl racks have hundreds of LPs in them. They also have a jukebox or two, but I think that's a whole different market.
