x97lyons
My current set-up is a pair of KG 2's as my fronts a KG 2.2v for a center and a pair of kg 2.2 for rears. I have my eye on a pair of kg 4.2's. My question is would it be a significant upgrade. My KG2's were my first speakers and would move them to the rears. Interested in getting everyones opinions. SilverSport
I had kg2s and have owned KG 4.5s...similar to the 4.2s with the main difference being a switch from ports on the 4.5s to a passive radiator on the 4.2s (I know the 4.5s came after but following my example...)...I think you will hear a significant jump in bass response...the bookshelf kg 2s are nice...my first Klipsch speakers too but the 4.2s should literally blow them away...hope more pipe up with advice for you...good luck. RIGID113
Always upgrade variety is the spice of life, get them and have fun, you only live once. Not to mention bigger is always badder !!
Montigue231
lyons 4.2 s where my first speakers i ever purchased...great speakers....they have the tratrix 90 60 horns with the 10 inch passive radiator for great bass..you will be happy..Although if u were anywhere close to sacramento i have a pair of 5.2 s for sale at a good price
x97lyons
Thanks for the post, unfortunately I am in Detroit. I simply had the KG2's for the past 20 years and then in the past 6 motnhs I purchased the others and now I seem to already have the upgrade bug. x97lyons
The KG2's do look lind of small next to the entertainment center. I think even if these 4.2's fall thru I will continue my quest to go bigger.

carbon summit
I had KG 5.2s for fronts before I got Forte IIs. I'd say if you go with 4.2s they would go good with the center and surrounds you have.
Montigue231
actually now that i noticed hes running 2.2s as rears I would say go with a kg 5.5 or 5.2.. the matching sourrounds for 4.2 is kg .5 i beleive. I have the 2.5s and they are a much bigger sound.. not to argue with anyone.,,,just my opinion
