jacksonbart
From a wire guage perspective it really matters in the length of runs you will need in the speaker wire for you specific set up. Here is a rough guide. Distance from speaker to amplifier Gauge Less than 80 feet 16 80 to 200 feet 14 More than 200 feet
-BC-
i was only curious to see, from people that have 63's, how many watts there pushing them with.....
willland
I have a 200w/ch B&K Ref 4430 pushing my RF-63's and RC-64. I am using 14gauge speaker wire with a 20 foot run. When I had only my 100w/ch Onkyo receiver powering my 63's, the sound was good. When I added the B&K to my system, the difference was literally night and day. Not only more headroom but detail in every way. Bill
bhenry
Oh, that B&K sound is nice, isn't it? I currently have some RB25's hooked up to my Ref 200.5 (the RF-7's are in storage due to the arrival of my son) and even those sound damn nice.
