Invidiosulus
Put some new midrange horns on the Heresy's yesterday evening. Ended up listening to music for a couple of hours. These are some more Tractrix Horns made out of Oak Plywood. My initial Feeling is that they sound way better than the K-55/K-700 combo. And I mean way WAY better. Everyhing is so there with these horns and midrange drivers. Oh yeah, these are Galaxy audio 5" drivers and using them to cover the midrange they sound SO good. I was kind of building the horn before I bothered to think about what size the drivers would be(I didn't have the drivers in hand until tuesday at lunch). So the throat is larger than is likely optimal. Still to my ears, and my wifes ears, they sound quite nice. I put on Three Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by BFATFT's last night and the very first thing Heather said was "I've never heard THAT before". There were several things that kept jumping out at us on different tracks. Some cellow sounded very warm and mello. Not nearly as harsh and sort of compressed sounding as it did with the K55. This weekend I plan on doing a lot of listening as well as making a mount for the CT-125's. Peace, Josh

Marvel
So...can you draw up a template for the correct size throat and it to me? Since I have another pair of those drivers...
Invidiosulus
Yes I certainly can. do you have measurement constraints on the mouth size? I might be able to get top and bottoms cut out before I come down next weekend. thanks a ton for the drivers.
Marvel
You have drivers there... can you measure them to get an optimal size? I'm thinking 3.25" would actually work ok. That is about halfway across the surrounds. If you can make the tops and bottoms, I'll do the rest. We'll talk on the weekend... Thanks ps They look pretty cool! Invidiosulus
I meant size constraints on the mouth not the throat. I wasn't sure if you were going to try to keep your mids aimed right at your ear or not. -Josh

As long as it fits on the top of the LS, that's fine.
