HudsonValleyNoah
Does anyone reading this recognize these type of KLH speakers?
SWL
AudioKarma.com could probably help you out. Vintage KLH is discussed there occasionally.

clermontcop
Noah these are the KLH Model 23 speakers, they were made in 1968, cloth surrounds around the woofer. This speaker blew me away when I hooked them up to the tube amp. I have some pics of the ones I recently acquired that I will share.

clermontcop
The speakers KLH makes today is really, well how can I put this nicely, junk. Its a very interesting read on Henry Kloss and his theory of building speakers. The KLH Model #23 and the Model #6 are highly sought after. If you ever get the opportunity to listen to a pair it will BLOW you away.

Steve_L
I bought a set of KLH Model 5s in 1971, paired with a Marantz 1120 Integrated pre-amp/amp and a Dual 1218, it was a fine system for a college kid just graduating. After all... I had just hit the big time working for the phone company and making $120 a week! Why not live large.
clermontcop
The KLH Model 5's are a great speaker. Even today they are hard to beat.[Y][Y]
Steve_L
RE: Model 5s...They were collecting dust and taking up space in my garage.. so I gave them to a buddy. He's been using them as his primary speakers now for the last 4 or 5 years. About 1973 I blew a woofer, but drove it down to the KLH service department in Cambridge Ma and they replaced the woofer on the spot. They have never had a problem since. Some of the other units had some kind of cone deterioration issues, but these never did. They weren't too efficient though.
