Paul Folbrecht
Put in a pair of new Crites A crossovers today. Are the totally stock Klipsch AA networks, complete with their 29 year-old capacitors, worth anything, or should I just toss them? Same question with the K33 woofers I replaced with new Crites woofers - except in that case I'm sure the answer is YES as they are Alnico and in perfect shape. In 1980, the K-33-Es should have square magnets and a lower Fs than later models. They will be identical to the Crites woofers you installed. If yours had round magnets, they were more recent replacements and you improved your bass perfprmance. Either way, they should bring up to $100 each on eBay. Groomlakearea51
You should keep the AA's and replace the caps. At some point you can swap the A's back with the AA'a and compare. The AA's were standard on the Klipschorns for a number of years and alot of folks like them. Recapped, they can be sold/ traded and are worth between $160 and $200, depending on the market.
