muel
Just curious… perhaps this has already been discussed but I have found conflicting information on serial numbers for Heritage and the year of manufacture. If you are counting the years backwards it appears the discrepancy begins where one reference uses the letter I (reference 2 below) and the other skips the letter I. Probably not a big deal to be off by a year one way or the other but I’m wondering if anyone has more light to shed on this. It would be neat to know if my Cornwalls were built the year my wife was born. Lot of information here... finish codes, driver history etc... ace168516
I think the letter "I" was sckipped to reduce confusion with the number 1...I recall reading that somewhere, so I think the guide #1 is the correct one...it is the one I always use. I am sure there are several people on here with '69, '70 and '71s that could shed more light as to accuracy...my oldest are a pair of '74s, so none of mine could answer the question. Groomlakearea51
ref 1 is the accurate one. It was reviewed by Klipsch prior to publication. Here's the original link. http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/t/103886.aspx
