Rhadamanthus
I need to adjust the timing belts on a Ducati 748. They are done now days with a glorified frequency analyzer. Is there any computer program I can download to use? I have a microphone that should be able to read the 110hz. [H] I only have a laptop in the garage, so, it will have to use what ever is in it. Of course, I'll have to turn down the Type O Negative that's cranking to use it.

russ69
A beveldrive Ducati is like a Klipschorn, classic beauty. I totally agree with this one both on good looks and classic performance also. Ciao, Russ P.S. The 748 might be Ducati's finest effort.

HiFi Heaven
Why not use a cheap simple Guitar Tuner? The 5th string on a guitar (A2) is EXACTLY 110 HZ! http://www.techlib.com/reference/musical_note_frequencies.htm Steve in Minneapolis <8-)
Rhadamanthus
Now that's thinking outside the box. I like[Y] it!
Marvel
A lot of the tuners (even the cheap ones) actually allow you to set a custom pitch.
Marvel
For a time, I worked for a government contractor which had a contract for testing and monitoring from acoustic sensors in helicopter gearboxes. Using neural networks, they were working on predicting failures. Pretty neat stuff.
