Frequency response of the K55

Can anyone verify the frequency response of the Klipsch K55 mid range driver?

I'm lead to believe that this is an Atlas PD-5VH driver & have attached a link to the Atlas site showing the specs of this driver.http://www.atlassound.com/pn/PD-5VH.

As you can see the quoted specs are 110 - 4,100 Hz. Am I missing something here? Or do we all have a huge hole in our midrange using the standard Klipsch crossover point of 6K. [:^)]

Look at the actual response curve of that driver in the PDF file and you will see that from 4K to 6K it goes down 3db, from there up 6db and then back down 3db around the 6K mark. So it is actually covering to 6K, sorta kinda.

This thread has some info for you...Yes the K55 starts rolling off before 6K, but your tweeter should be starting to come in about the same point, and the two slopes will "add" to flatten the over all response.

Sorry, didn't open up the PDF file, just looked at the frequency response figures. Thanks for the link to the curves you ran Bob, that shows the range exactly.
