Audio Flynn
Listened to David Crosby live from King Biscuit. I used to listen to the "flower hour" on my old Marantz 2225 reciver through my really good AKG proffessional headphones back in the 70's. Crosby concert is from a post prison tour in 4-8-89 in Philadelphia. My wife and I saw the same tour at the very small and good sounding Royal Oak music theater in Detroit. After getting off "free base" Crosby's voice sounded and sounds like one of the best in R&R. Mike Finnegan on organ and Dan Dugmore on guitar are very good. Al little accoustic and a little electric. I think recording and mastering of this cd is world class Red Book CD quality. Anyone else got a King Biscuit CD recommendation?
Dale A B
I have 4 of the KB series, and no one should be disappointed if they like these bands: Deep Purple from 1976 (altho I prefer Gillan on vocals vs Coverdale on this one) Triumph from 1981 Uriah Heep from 1974 Robin Trower from 1977. Other good listens are the popular BBC Radio 1 live concerts featuring these vintage bands: Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Thin Lizzy, UFO, Robin Trower, Michael Schenker, & Pat Travers. I'm glad these are available since I never got to see any of these bands perform live. So Sad!
