Ironsave
I POSTED THIS IN THE WRONG SECTION..... CAN A MOD PLEASE MOVE TO "UPDATES AND MODS" SECTION? So..... I purchased some black fabric for ~$3.50 at the local Jo-Ann..... I was unsure of the best way to reattach new cloth.... I have read hot glue; low temp hot glue; etc...... I am here to tell you.... THIS STUFF IS THE BOMB!!!!!!
Ironsave
This has acetone as an ingredient; so it slightly melts/ then bonds synthetic fabric; and guess what the frame is? Plastic....... (Ever use too much model glue as a kid?) It dries very quick, within 2 minutes; so work quickly..... Here is the finished result:
Ironsave
Here is one of what the previous owner's kitty did to the old fabric.....
Ironsave
Here is a link to what I read as a how to...... Much like the "How To"s on Heresy and CW/La Scala grill fabric reattachment; but not exactly the same: http://www.humanspeakers.com/howto/grill-cloth.htm I will likely hit the grill tomorrow with low temp hair dryer; just to give it "memory"...... Good Luck to all Kitty owners out there..... Now you do not need to declaw them!

Ironsave
Well, I SWEAR to you.... this was easy..... It took me 15 minutes, from beginning to cut the fabric to size to mounting my badge...... The link to the tutorial will explain better than I can....... billybobg
Great tip. I've used the thin double stick tape in the past with good results. Your results look excellent.
Ironsave
I used a hairdryer on medium last night for about 3 minutes; not too close or too slow...... This tightened it up a bit more, gave the fabric "memory" and it truly looks stock. Woo Hoo!
superedge88
Thanks for the heads up on this, I gotta work on my KLF-30's and KLF-C7, I'm gonna change it up by going with a charcoal grey color instead of black though.
Ironsave
[Y] We thought about a lighter color also.... Nice thing is I can change pretty easily if I want to later. [] Love that Avatar.... []
