BBZink
Hi guy, just wondering, someone gave me a marantz 1060 integrated amp, does it worth it to repair it? or should i keep it for parts? any help is welcome regards
tube fanatic
It was a terrific amp in its day (early seventies if I recall correctly). What's wrong with it? Sometimes, only minor updates are needed to bring such a nice unit back to life.
SWL
I have a 1070 and found that the 1060 has quite a following over at Audiokarma's Marantz section. I really dig the Marantz sound so I'd say fix it if it's reasonable. The early-mid 70's Marantz stuff that is refurbished can sound awesome. flatgrass
Saw this and wanted to throw my $0.02 in. Am listening to one now. Rotated it with a 2230. Am beginning to think it might might be a slight be better than the 2230. (but what do I know) If you can get if "refreshed" for a reasonable amount to you, do so. Quite a bit of sound in a small package. Disclaimer: I am not an audiophile, and do not play one on TV. Kevin
