Klipsch Pie Logos - The Back Story

Some of you may have seen my request for nice examples of the old style pie logo badges. Here is my story:

Confession: I began this project with the intention of reproducing
enough pie logos for myself. Out of 4 examples on hand, one was in good
shape; at least good enough to copy. I visited the local urethane /
epoxy / plastic shop, and set myself up with everything I thought I
could possibly need. Familiar with how to make molds, I was able to
produce excellent negatives from which to make very good (reproductions)
positives. What I didn't know was that the graduated markings on the
disposable epoxy mixing cups are not very accurate, so I got into a little bit
of trouble with the casting resins; enough trouble that the molds, and
the reproductions, were useless...

No problem, right? I still had the originals, yes?

Actually, no. No, I didn't.

Figuring that I was in good shape with the new molds, and waiting
for the epoxy resins to harden, I decided to "relax" my original
logos in the oven. After all, they were slightly cupped from
age, and possibly also cupped from being pried off my speakers. I
figured that a few minutes in a warm oven would be OK, but things didn't
work out that way:

Example: What's that saying? Necessity is the mother of invention?

With
a bit of a background in mold-making, I only had to learn the casting
part, and then the painting. This photo is a big thank you to Budman,
who made quality reproductions of this style possible. One of these pie logos is original, and one is a reproduction. Any guesses
which is which?

Plea: Does anyone have a minty nail-on logo (or pair) that I can
borrow, for at least as long as it would take to make a mold? I'm trying
to reproduce all of the pie logo options, through their many years, but I
don't yet have a good enough original. Any help would be immensely
appreciated.

I still have some of the ones we reproduced as a forum project back in 03 or 04. I could send you some of those. They were produced at a genuine Hollywood prop shop owned by a member here, Allan Songer. Let me know if you'd like look at a couple, I'll dig through and find the nicest ones left. I think I still have about 20 but several are slightly imperfect

My preference is to work from originals, but I really appreciate both offers.

these 68's are original

I'll be thrilled to work with them, and will make you the same deal as before. I was trying to say thank you both for your offers, but also to say no thanks to the reproductions.

I still have a pair of those reproductions, but only with sincere thanks to Allan, you, and GaryMD.
