Kain
Since new, my A/V receiver has hissed (well actually my speakers). It doesn't matter what source (DVD, radio, etc.) and it also doesn't matter what volume setting I am using. I can have the volume really low or at max and the level of hissing stays the same. By the way, the hiss is pretty darn loud, I can hear it from my listening position which is about 11 or so feet back. Even my subwoofer makes a faint humming sound when the A/V receiver is on and that is through a pre-out on the A/V receiver. Do I need a power conditioner? JL Sargent
Is the hissing in both channels? If so then maybe it is power supply related. Klipsch speakers are sensitive to noisy components.
larbo13
I have a pwer conditioner and still get hissing, not that loud. Only when i go up close to it or in between songs. You have to check all your conections one by one. Meaning unplug one thing at at time and listen.Plus try seperating all your cables, power on one side and audio on other. Let me know what you find. I have not done this because im to LAZY and it's not to bad. [*-)] Maybe i'll get off my lazy butt! lol Have fun
