jrod
Currently have ALs (obviously not the most desirable). Not looking to replace the horn right now, and I'm running SS amplification. 1) Crites AL-3 ($365 new) w/ stock guts... K-77M...K-55V...K-33E (not sure on this one) 2) Crites A/4500 ($210 new) + Crites CT125 ($160 new) w/ the rest of the stock guts...K-55V...K-33E (again, I think) Has anyone compared the two? If so, what are your impressions? If not, but you have done one of the upgrades, what do you like about it? Thanks in advance guys.
Guest " "
Have you asked Bob for a list of past customers, perhaps you could send them an email and get some insight.
J.4knee
IMO the CT 125's are a no brainer I use them with my Mod 84 LS, along with Al's universals and an Altec 511b mated to a K55M. The CT125's are cleaner sounding to me by a good margin.
tromprof
I can't comment about the AL-3 crossover but the A/4500 was a nice upgrade from my Crites A network in my K-horns. I have the CT125 in my K-horns, and stock K-77 in my La Scalas. Can't say which I like better, but you have to switch to the CT125s if you use the A/4500, which I think is money well spent. One of these days I will get around to making this change with the La Scalas as well.

Daddy Dee
I've used option two in Khorns, LaScalas and even in heresy (dif crossover, of course) Loved it!
jrod
Thanks Dee, I'm leaning that direction.

paul32579
I took Daddy Dee's indirect advice and got BC's woofers, CT 125s and A4500s. Bob also rebuilt the drivers on the mids. I should know in a couple of days how they sound. I'm SS also (Sansui G-8000). I didn't have a lot of options - I insisted on new tweets - and the whole biz makes a lot of sense, getting the higher ranges off the midrange that the CT 125s will handle.
