Edroom
I was reading a post by "DeafbyKHorns" and he was talking about some Mcintosh equipment he had gone through before selling here on the forums. It struck me that I have some Mcintosh equipment I need someone to "make sure are up to spec" before I put them into service as my new main system. Unfortunately he is in Florida and I am in MA, so approaching him for help won't exactly work, but is it possible there is someone in my area who has the expertise to go through my Amp, Preamp and Tuner, test and update as needed and would be willing to get paid by equipment exchange? I have a good stock of "stuff" including Klipsch Speakers, amps, preamps, receivers, turntables, tape, tuners, you name it (I am a hoarder 1st class!) etc. Thanks! Groomlakearea51
Check with HarryO; he knows several techs; Maybe Terry Dewick. Could also call audioclassics and see what they can do. [H]
tube fanatic
Get in touch with Bob Eslinger: http://www.oldradiodoc.com/main.html If he can't help you personally, he will certainly be able to help you locate someone close by. He's in Connecticut, not far from Boston iirc.
