"They work fine and have K-42 woofers (i.e. OEM versions of EV'sEVM12L) and K-55-V mid horns (made by Atlas, I believe), and K-77-Mtweeters (OEM versions of ElectroVoice K77). The crossovers are typeHIE (not the regular ones for a Heresy since they're made for morepower handling since it's a commercial speaker. The tag says thespeakers can take 125 watts and I think the original Heresy (HI) wasonly rated for about 50 watts." Thanks for the help Klipsch community! danf1739
Well,Brandon had posted an ad on Craigslist looking for industrial LaScalas. I emailed him about my HIP's. Offered to him at $350 but he passed. He didn't tell me he'd be posting my private email to him on a public forum. But since he has, anyone else interested? They're in Southeast Michigan. photos of the drivers and crossovers inside are at theweb address in the first post of this thread.
brando090
Sory about that, i did it to find out morer info since i had never seen industirals with no handles, trim, etc. Its a good deal at the price we talked about, just need to get LaScalas and trade for a few pieces of equipment i have. danf1739
Don't worry, Brandon, I was just surprised to see an email I sent posted on the web. I understand that they might not be what you're looking for. If someone else is interested, I just wanted to pipe in to let people know they are still available for sale. It's actually from earlier posts on this forum that I learned about how flexible Klipsch was in terms of what finishes could be ordered. Sure, most industrial speakers probably came in black fiberglass with metal corners but I'd imagine that a church or other place that was going to hang them and leave them in one place permanently didn't need the protective skin and handles which is probably why this pair came in plain stained plywood without handles. BTW, if someone can tell me how to post an image in a reply, I'll add a photo of the outside of these speakers.
djk
I'll take them if you're willing to ship to Iowa (I pay the shipping).
