CharlieTuna
So, I need to build four identical mono/unbalanced cables (I'm using two sub outputs from my Yamaha amp); one end is RCA type, the other end is TRS. The RCA ends are for my Yamaha amp and subwoofer amp, the TRS for the Beringer. The wiring is Tip (signal) to Tip and Sleeve (ground) to Sleeve. That's it? Audible Nectar
I believe that's it, CharlieTuna. You can go into and out of the BFD with TRS or XLR connectors - either way. Could you explain more about the "tip and sleeve" stuff? I wonder if I have something off in one of my cables (I bought mine). I wonder if the "balanced/unbalanced" cables are giving me last bit of hum?? It is slight, but noticeable. What is the difference between building balanced cables vs unbalanced cables, given that they have the same connector ends?? Like I said, I bought mine, and I wonder if the cables are the wrong type. ------------------ Klipsch Cornwall II's (mains) Klipsch Academy (center channel) Klipsch Chorus (surrounds) Outlaw 750 Amplifier (5x165) H/K AVR 75 (used as pre/pro - will be upgraded soon) Bass Kit: 2 JBL 4638 LFE/Bass Reinforcement cabinets Crown CE 1000 amplifier Behringer Feedback Destroyer (Bass EQ) Sources: Pioneer DV-333 2 Aiwa ADF-850 3 head cassette decks General Instruments cable box Panasonic VHS PV-4459 Digital Audio Labs CardDeluxe (computer sound) f> c> s>

PrestonTom
There is a more appropriate forum for this. Tacking it onto an 18 year old thread will not get you very far. May I suggest posting in the "Garage Sale" forum with a price and several photos
