So I am currently running an old KSW-15.I am wondering if I would see any difference if I were too switch to a RW-12D.Just curious if the newer technology is better. Also if there will be a difference in sound going from a 15" to a 12". Granted the RW-12D has more wattage but will it be worth it.

Jordan,

I have not heard the KSW-15 but many reviews I have seen are not too favorable. The RW-12d is a very competent sub that can bring life to a HT and function pretty well for music. It digs moderately deep(low 20Hz) and plays pretty loud. Two RW-12d's would be pretty darn good in my opinion if you can swing it.

Here is an interesting thread about the KSW-15:

I at one time had a paradigm pw 15" version and it was terrible compared to todays subs and likely wouldnt be much better than your current one, ive heard favorable things about version 2 of the pw's though that one is version 1

Elite,

I am not saying that the PW-2200 is the cream of the crop but for $250.00 it is a bargain price for a good performing sub and should be much more musical than Jordan's KSW-15.[8]

On the other hand, a Klipsch RW-12d for $299.00 is a sweet deal.[Y][Y]
