mustang guy
I should also ask what kind of surrounds would be best. Are we best with a plain old 3.1 or 2.1 here? My parent's TV room opens into a greater area. The ceilings are 10'. The picture below shows the angular wall on the left side of the room. Here is a picture of the right wall, which is short: Here is a shot of the built in entertainment center with the 55" Smart LED: Here is a panorama view of the room: http://360.io/r4eGEz

However, what a great looking room(s). I'll be interested in hearing what the solution is to the surround placements.
TasDom
Wow, beautiful home but a tough room. Maybe ceiling mounts would blend in nicely with the asthetics of the home.

mustang guy
Surrounds? I don't see any main speakers at all. Or any room to put any... The mains are to be bookshelf RF-61 II's. The sub is to be Paradigm DSP-3100. The center will be one of the reference models, I think the 51.
psg
Where will they go? I think in-ceiling speakers are the best bet for such a room.
ygmn
Side Surrounds just above window. In wall klispch or ??/ Rear surround make wood structure at same height as window that would be parallel to TV screen... then mount speaker to it.. Running wires will SUX though...
