After a day and a half without power

I know how you feel.

In the summer of 2004 we had 3 hurricanes pass through here. The first one the power was off for 9 days, the second off for 5 days and the third off for 4 days. We had a generator for all 3 but it was all it could do to keep the fridge, freezer and a small bedroom window AC running. It wasn't a whole lot of fun.

The very first thing I did once the "grid" power came back on after each was fire up the stereo. The GF at the time thought I was crazy.

My house is midway between Lake Wales and Frostproof. The two towns are 12 miles apart. The eyes of all three storms passed within just a few miles from my house. All wihtin 6 weeks of each other.

I feel for you guys.

My power didn't even flicker. I've been having some internal (intestinal) pains so I stayed home most of the long weekend.

What to do....what to do.

Oh yeah.... I know what to do. Mixed it up between watching some movies and listening to music alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll weekend.

WOW you must have felt like you had a bulls eye painted
on your roof.

Some of those storms in the 2000's were pretty wild. I use a
5 gal bucket with a brick in it for a rain gauge. I had one fill in
under 4 hours. The same storm took the front window out of
my friends house and set it in the front yard 65 feet away. It
did not even crack any of the glass.
