Rhino1
When I only play fronts the highs on speakers are not coming on but when on surround mode they play fine . Must be something wrong with recevier I hope
Audio Android
I am assuming you mean your height speakers above your fronts won't play. Most receivers will usually only play height speakers on certain surround modes. The height speakers will not play on two channel modes.............. unless you can customize/program your AVR to play them in two channel modes. Moderators dtel Posted August 12, 2012 Moderators Share Posted August 12, 2012 Do you mean the tweeters on the main speakers ?
Rhino1
Yes I mean tweeters they were working and shut off while playing.they are working fine in suround modes.Like I said they were working and went off while they were playing with not pressing any buttons on receiver. One minute fine the next second not working.cant figure it out good reason to get a new receiver though.
Moderators dtel Posted August 12, 2012 Moderators Share Posted August 12, 2012 I guess see if they work again on surround or any other mode, if they do it not the speakers. Go through the menu and check every setting, if it's not a setting the receiver is having a problem. Also check settings in the player if you were using one, if not try that and see if the tweeters work ? Do your speakers have double connections for bi amping, check the jumpers, make sure there making contact. ?
2point1
What amp are you using? Hook the speakers up to something else and see how they sound.
