Wire Storage

I look like a wire factory, i have wires everywhere. Unused and just sitting ins torage, i do use them as test cords etc or you never know when you need one. Anyone have any good space saving techniques that makes them easily accessible and easy to find?

I roll them up and use masking or blue painters tape to bundle each up individually. That type of tape doesn't leave the annoying sticky residue. They are all in a box.

I use an under-the-bed storage box for my cables.

Toilet paper tubes work well to sort cables in a storage container.

I have lots of cables, coax, computer, stereo, video etc, I just roll them neetly, wrap the tag end around the coil and store in a plastic cab I have. A drawer for power cables and coax, a drawer for audio/video cables and a drawer for computer cables.

I used to have them in multiple boxes etc and I never knew how many I really had until I combined them all into one storage unit [:S]

I use Plano plastic boxes that store into a bigger plastic case.
It's basically a tackle box but each removable plastic box is great to
just coil various cables into. They also have snap in tabs that you can
use to configure smaller compartments for adapters, connectors, banana
plugs, etc....... They are very inexpensive and quite sturdy.

Bass Pro Shops, Dick's Sporting Goods or even Wal-Mart carry a variety of options.
