tfoust
I have a pair of 20+ year old Heresy IIs that sound dull even after replacing the caps. For those who have replaced drivers in the high and mid horns, has that resulted in more clean sound?
CECAA850
Are you sure all the drivers are working? Have you loosened and tightened all connections?
ZombieWoof
replace the diaphragms in the squawker horn with the Crites diaphragms , that will bring back the sharpness
moray james
Your H2 has a pair of K79 tweeters and these rarely go south. Do clean and tighten all your connetions as they do get oxidised over time. Yes switching to titanium diaphragms makes a wonderful difference. I have done this for mid and hi on my H2, forte forte ll and KLF20 (two pairs) very pleased with the results. I have not had one bad K79 so far but I have had one of my Klipsch H3 tweeter ti diaphragms go south for no reason.. If you search on Ebay right now there is a company in Ontario who bought out a Klipsch service depot stock they have ti diaphragms tweeter and mids for sale cheap get some. Best regards Moray James. PS: the attached picture is my H3 on Skylan stands.
tfoust
Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I have not tried the intermediate efforts and I will before committing to full replacement.

moray james
Thank you, I agree Noel Nolan does a stunning job and they sound amazing too. These H3 have been heavily modified and they make plenty of bass I think most would not believe the bass quality and output up on these stands. Best regards Morray James.
