mpgwagon
Technics is by far the best low priced receiver. They do run hot but it's normal for them. ------------------ http://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/MYSTUFF.jpg
kenratboy
I have both a $300 Pioneer VSX-D710X and a $300 Sony STR-DE675; Sony - Lots of power, massive remote, good sound, more user friendly. Pioneer - More sophisticated, better remore, more flexible (assignable digital inputs, big plus for me) my favorite, as I acutally have it. These models have one predicesor now, but the fundamantal differences are the same, here are some good links to $300 USD receivers: $300 Sony - Sony@Crutchfield $300 Pioneer - Pioneer@Crutchfield Here is everything they have, as a reference: Receivers@Crutchfield Enjoy! ------------------ Receiver: Sony STR-DE675 CD player: Sony CDP-CX300 Turntable: Technics SL-J3 with Audio-Technica TR485U Speakers: JBL HLS-610 Subwoofer: JBL 4648A-8 Sub amp: Parts Express 180 watt Center/surrounds: Teac 3-way bookshelfs Yes, it sucks, but better to come.
