Two Adjusters
This bubba is in great shape if not for the PROBLEM: it produces a coarse scratchy sound at medium+ volumes. Can't just throw it away cause the paint is good, rubber is supple, metal looks unbroken, paper isn't torn---as far as I can tell. It has the PWK logo on the cone in white. Let me know if you want it-it'll be yours for only the shipping costs.
Moderators Youthman Posted March 8, 2013 Moderators Share Posted March 8, 2013 Welcome to the forums. It might help if you could post a pic of the unit. Sounds like the voicecoil is causing the scratching that you are hearing.
carlthess40
Where are you at ? That would help a lot. I'm in Florida and if your in ca. That would cost a ton of cash to ship 90lbs Would you pull the amp and cont unit and just ship those parts? Thanks Carl
Moderators Youthman Posted March 8, 2013 Moderators Share Posted March 8, 2013 From the title, I am thinking he only has the passive radiator, not the enclosure and amp? I guess we need some clarification from the OP on what is being offered.
Guest Anonymous
Hey Carl, Idaho. It is the passive radiator only and no other parts or pieces, weight is 2 pounds or less. Sorry for the ambiguity!

Sounds like the voicecoil is causing the scratching that you are hearing. If it is a passive radiator it wouldn't have a voice coil so something else has to be making the sound. themrclean
We'll let it slide this time. Looks like the UMC-1 is doing well on ebay by the way.
Moderators Youthman Posted March 8, 2013 Moderators Share Posted March 8, 2013 Hehe...yeah, I wasn't thinking about the fact that it was a "passive" radiator. [] PM sent about the UMC-1 on Ebay (not wanting to hijack seller's thread).
