A couple of years ago I purchased some cosmetically challenged La Scalas. My intention was to replace the bottom piece (where the surface ply was de-laminnated) and then skin the cabinet with 1/4 inch oak ply and make some grills. This was the intention. The reality is that other things have come up and I don't see an opportunity in the near future. The kicker is that I need to clear out the den and garage. Basically, life has gotten in the way of some fun projects. Thess are La Scala cabinets from the early 1980's with all original parts. All parts are working and the cabinets are solid (the de-lamination on the bottom of one cabinet is only on the outside/surface ply). These cabinets are large and heavy, so shipping is not an option. They are located in SE Connecticut, about 10 minutes from the Casino / Submarine Base and within an hour of Providence, Hartford and New Haven.
