Mikeclough24
I have rf-52 II floorstandings and am about to purchase some surrounds and I'm trying to decide if the rs-42's are good enough to use with my fronts or should I stick with all 52's line.. Not a very big room either.
Moderators Youthman Posted April 19, 2013 Moderators Share Posted April 19, 2013 Mike, the RS-42's should have no problem keeping up with the RF-52's. I used the RS-52's and they were fantastic with my RF-83's.
Mikeclough24
Ok thanks man.. I just always seem to want to upgrade everytime I get something new haha. I think I will just stick with the 42's for now.
Moderators Youthman Posted April 19, 2013 Moderators Share Posted April 19, 2013 There's nothing wrong with that. If you move up to the RF-82's, consider upgrading your surrounds to the RS-52's. In the meantime, you can use the money you save by going with the RS-42's to spend on other upgrades. []
Heritage_Head
42 would be fine now but if you think you will upgrade to bigger rf down the road might be a good idea to get the 52 now.
Mikeclough24
I'm pretty happy with my 52's with the size room I have they do great. I just didnt want to get the rs-42's and feel like they were being overpowered by the 52's. when I buy a house I eventually will upgrade everything a few years down the line but that can wait! I couldn't resist the refurbed rs-42 II's for 215 with full warranty from eBay!
Salvador
I have 52II and RS-42II, just bought them in Feb and they sound like they are made for each other. I got the RC-62II for center and that seems like it is perfect for what I have. I do think I am underpoewering them though..
Mikeclough24
I want the rc-62 so bad. Right now I just have a bic accoustech pl-26 and I like it but I bought it before I discovered klipsch. I cannot wait the upgrade to my center to klipsch considering its pretty much the most important channel.

Lenkerg
Hello Everyone I have a pair of RF 82s and an RC 62, but i need surrounds... my couch is about six inches away from the wall, and was wondering what would be better the 52s, or the 42s since I plan on hanging them on the walls by the couch, what would be the best bang for the buck? Mikeclough24
Well with the 82's and 62 I'd assume you wouldn't want to do anything smaller than the 52's
