Cut-Throat
I just placed an order for an NBS Linestage. According to Craig he will be shipping by Late August ! I also plan on getting a Wood Case for it like Mike Lindsey did. I wonder if there are different Wood Options? Maybe Mike will Chime in? Mike Lindsey
Reach out to Tom Keady (tk49) on the wood case. He can make it out of most woods, but sourcing some woods could get expensive.Congrats on the preamp btw! I know you're gonna love it! tk49
Cut-Throat, I've been doing the case work for Craig's VRD's and Stereo 45 for the past couple years and now the NBS preamp. He decided to continue to offer all in the three basic woods, maple, cherry and walnut at his listed prices, if you want a different species, contact me, I'd be happy to discuss options. I just finished a curly cherry NBS unit with black stringing for another forum member that turned out quite striking. Email or call, we can talk. tkeady@neb.rrdotcom 402-440-7 three nine 0. Deang
Time to restart my audio savings account. I asked Craig to get a cathode follower into this thing since so many use solid state. I'm one on those, I just don't see myself going back to tube amplification. It definitely sounds better, but the stuff I like and would be willing to live with is just to expensive. I think horns, without question, need some tubes in the mix.
