mobile homeless
Cheech's ad via Ebay; no pics however.: This auction is for a pair of Klipsch La Scala loudspeakers, black in colour. They are 1985 production, serial #'s 856727 & 856728. They are in great condition, a few minor scuffs, but nothing that can't be touched up or polished out. They have the original drivers, which are in great condition and working perfectly. They have only been used in my home theater. I'm not going to bore you with the spec's, if you are looking for these, you know what they can do. They can be seen just north of the Toronto area. I will not ship these speakers, they must be picked up. Good luck and happy bidding! Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewItem&item=1364687190 The catch? They are in Canada and shipping is NOT an option. Oh well. Too bad they arent of an earlier vintage. Still, the LaScalas appear to be the rage at the moment. The Cornwalls were last month. NOZ
Craig, My reserve is $1300 U.S. which is about $2000 Canadian. If I don't get that it's not worth me selling them. Mike Lindsey
I would have to agree with Mobile here. As nice as the speakers are (I just bought a pair myself), without any pictures and no shipping, this is gonna be a tough sell. I strongly recommend you take some pictures, and have them put on a disc if you don't have a digital camera. Then upload them and add them to your auction. You also might want to consider letting the buyer hire a professional mover to pack/crate them and ship them. Just my 2 cents... NOZ
Hey guys, Lighten up, Toronto is a much different market, thats because peolple don't have to pay duty on them, and they will save the $300-$500, for shipping. Lets just wait and see what happens, after all it only cost me $8 to list them. ------------------ NOZ SYSTEM Fronts: Klipsch RF-7's Center: Klipsch RC-7 Rears: Klipsch RS-7's Projector: Infocus LP350 Screen: Draper Premier 96" x 72" TV: Toshiba 37" DVD: Toshiba SD 3107 Receiver: Harman Kardon AVR 7000 CD: Sony CDP CX250 EQ: Harmon Kardon EQ-8 Sub: Velodyne V-1012-B Spare/Back-Up: La Scalas
mobile homeless
First, you need to get some great amplitication to take advantage of those LaScalas via 2 Channel. Give the beasts a chance with some top notch sources and amplification and you might be posting something else on ebay. Otherwise, I agree...no harm in trying to post them. But $2000 Canadian is some serious ducats for the home crowd. My bet is you still have them. Buy some fine tube amplicition and watch the changes begin.... kh ------------------ Phono Linn Sondek LP-12 Valhalla / Linn Basic Plus / Sumiko Blue Point CD Player Rega Planet Preamp Cary Audio SLP-70 w/Phono Modified Amplifier Welborne Labs 2A3 Moondog Monoblocks Cable DIYCable Superlative / Twisted Cross Connect Speaker 1977 Klipsch Cornwall I w/Alnico & Type B Crossover Links system one online / alternate components / Asylum Listing f>s>

jazman
Noz, I see you only hit $1,075 US dollars, or about $1,638 Canadian, which is about correct for most used LaScalas. Klipsch out.
NOZ
Oh well, I'm more than glad to keep them. I was offered $2000 for them from someone local who saw them on ebay, still not sure if I want to sell them though. ------------------ NOZ SYSTEM Fronts: Klipsch RF-7's Center: Klipsch RC-7 Rears: Klipsch RS-7's Projector: Infocus LP350 Screen: Draper Premier 96" x 72" TV: Toshiba 37" DVD: Toshiba SD 3107 Receiver: Harman Kardon AVR 7000 CD: Sony CDP CX250 EQ: Harmon Kardon EQ-8 Sub: Velodyne V-1012-B Spare/Back-Up: La Scalas
