HairyManBack
Has anyone had luck with Crites upgrades? What is the best one to get first that really upgrades the sound?
Ski Bum
Hey, welcome to the extended Heritage club! Networks (at least the caps) first, then his ti tweet diaphragms. Both are inexpensive, worthy mods. You can upgrade mids too, but that necessitates some modification of the network.
John Chi-town
Yes, Crites caps, or you can go with all new crossovers from Bob as well. I went with Bob's new crossovers and then with the titanium tweeter. In addition I put in brand new K53 TI drivers from Klipsch in the mids. Doing so requires an external mid range roll off that Bob made for me. Otherwise both the TI mid and tweeter wil be working against each other. The titanium mid far exceeds the spectrum of the original.
HairyManBack
How do you fit the new crossovers in the speaker box? Lol
Ski Bum
Remove the passive radiator. Bob's full networks on their planks fit fine.
HairyManBack
Sweet, would there be any need to make sure they dont move inside?
Ski Bum
Bob's full networks come with velcro, but you could glue or screw them if you wanted more security.

CECAA850
On my KP-301 II's, I just drilled holes in the 4 corners of the crossover board and found screws that weren't too long to penetrate the outside of the backs. Put them in the same place that the stock ones were in.
