tigerwoodKhorns
THat is a good move. Does Cheerios contain high fructose corn syrup? I am guessign no if they are going non-GMO. It takes quite a bit of effort to find cereal (and jelly and maple syrup) without corn syrup. Basically grape nuts and one brand of whole wheat flakes that I buy. billybob
Said cane sugar and getting away from beet sugar. At least that was the Cheerio spiel (first link)
tube fanatic
I heard about this earlier today. It seems a bit strange that General Mills is responding to "consumer demand" considering that they are a member of the Grocery Manufacturers' Association which put up a huge amount of money to block the gmo labeling bill in Washington State in November. This is analogous to Monsanto issuing statements that they support gmo labeling in England and other European countries (but not here, of course.) Nothing like political hypocrisy.
